  1. Both anywhere between £1k and 1.5k I would think. But there's only one way to find out.
  2. I think it's more like they want to let other people know the trouble they've had, and maybe get you to communicate better.
  3. I’ve been collecting northern records since 1985 - not as long as some, longer than a few. I have given up being surprised at prices, but I did blink at The Ascots. I‘ve had three of the buggers over the years. Regrettably I no longer have any of them 😀
  4. I'm open to PMs...
  5. Blimey. Ok then I'm open to offers 😀
  6. Not me, but just curious - I assume this is not the same Blenders as the Le Sage group? I've always thought Cause I Love You to be very underrated (and rare).
  7. At £600 I'd let mine go! I'd think long and hard at £500. I'd have said £400 to £450, personally.
  8. I'm finding it increasingly hard to price records properly! Something I think are worth a lot go for less than I think, and some things I think should be cheap are going for a lot. I can't see any rhyme or reason, often.
  9. I can't find my Manship boot guide - can anyone tell me how you tell the boot? Thanks in advance
  10. Never heard that, I really like it. Cheers.
  11. I used to ring up eg Pat Brady or Manship and bid over the phone.
  12. This is handy for anyone planning to leave their records out on the ground on the hottest day of the year 😂
  13. I met Dennis in the mid to late 80s - he picked me and my mate up from the Greyhound and drove us back to his place (I think he had a little Cadillac, and was sputting chewing tobacco into a cup, which we found amusing, but I may be confusing him with someone else there). What I do know is that I bought a load of stuff off him, but the thing I remember most was that he had various records I wanted and wouldn't sell them, even at double his asking price, because he'd reserved them for someone else. It's so long ago I've forgotten what they were - I know Howard Guyton was one - but a deal was a deal and he stuck me it, which told me something about the guy. From there we went to see Val Shively, which was another interesting experience.
  14. 45 copies have been sold on eBay under £40 (three at £20, and then up in two or three quid increments).
  15. Not sure - I think from memory it was ex but I might be wrong.
  16. What's a fair price for Fortson and Scott these days, do people think? I can only see two having been sold on eBay - £1,200 in 2015 and £1,059 in 2012 - and none on discogs. Tim Brown sold one in Feb for £2,500ish. That's about it as far as internet intel goes. TIA
  17. Thanks Simon - sorted now 👍
  18. I was joking, but if it goes up at the current rate then £2000 taken now is the equivalent of £1800 taken next year. It's more likely (I suppose?) that venues are thinking this way than promoters, and trying to get promoters to pay upfront. But in that case promoters should make sure the cost is set in a contract (and should only use venues which are unlikely to go bust and disappear with their cash).
  19. Inflation might make this a goer... pay twenty quid now, this time next year that will be the cost of a bag of cheese and onion.
  20. Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I'm selling a few records inc some expensive ones which I would like to arrive in one piece - anyone able to suggest the best off the shelf cardboard mailers and where to get them from? Cheers
  21. What sort of image? Artist? Records? Venue?
  22. Probably Dave. Definitely not enough produced to have warranted multiple pressings with natural variation in ink etc.
