  1. Pameline was names after three daughters of Richard Wylie, although I can't remember their names, I would "think" the first part is Pamela. Anyone ? Cheers Mick Just found the info - PAtrice, MELony, and ChristINE.
  2. Anyone know how much the Tiaras went for (same auction)
  3. I've only ever seen the white demos of Bob & Marcia on Tamla, I never knew it was ever released (sound quality of the demo was awful, I wonder if it was remastered for its release) Cheers Mick
  4. Here's all three records. Tony Diamond - Don't Turn Away Jimmy Holland - Sugar Baby Jimmy Hart - Tea House in Chinatown Cheers Mick
  5. OK Robb, as said it was just speculation, I just listened to them and "thought" they may be the same, but if not, then not. Cheers Mick
  6. I think that's coming up in the Motown Box Set (V3), prior to that it was not on vinyl (apart from a boot)
  7. We need a music clip of Jimmy Hart - Sugar, to help sort it out. I can't find one anywhere. Jimmy Holland - Sugar and Jimmy Hart - Tea House definately sound like different artists (as confirmed by Jimmy Holland via Dave two posts up) Probably a coincidence, and it doesn't help anything, but Jimmy Holland's Sugar sounds more like Tony Diamond - Don't Turn Away (also on Blue Rock and an Andre Williams Prod.), but thats just an impression I got, probably wrong, and also nothink really to do with this.
  8. I first remember Roger from the mid nineties at Bretby (and a few local doos around the West Midlands) I can remember once, receiving a phone call on a Sunday morning after a Bretby all nighter, asking if I'd seen one of his boxes of records. Turned out he'd just "left" a box at the venue and didn't realise until after he had left. Wasn't a problem, we had found them at the end of the night after Roger had left, and realised they were his, and he got them back. What was surprising, and funny, was that either the previous month, or the month after, he did the very same thing. Roger, do you remember ? Cheers Mick
  9. Even the word "at" can sometimes be rejected if it is next to a name, I usually say joebloggs something.com (just insert the correct symbol). I've never had a problem with a something.com - that seems to be allowed (future ref - as of June 2016 - things are always changing).
  10. Think you're right. They are built for playing, not just looking at, and maybe I should have more "Sessions" myself.
  11. That's what I thought, I seem to remember that there was some anomaly over Ric Tic copywrite, meaning we had never had a CD or vinyl compilation of Ric Tic since those early days. Look like that has been sorted out now, so maybe a Ric Tic Revolution, as you say, is on the horizon. (If Universal can release one, then the should be able to release any or all - maybe a CD or Vinyl Box set for the future)
  12. I've often wondered this, but how many of us who buy records for our own collection, regardless of value or rarity, actually PLAY them on a regular basis. I find it much easier these days to click a few buttons on my PC and listen to just about anything I want. I still buy records for myself of course, but I often just record them and play the mp3's. DJ's obviously play them out, but when the party's over, and the lights go out, what do we do at home. For me, it's the enjoyment of collecting that keeps it going, but it's the convenience of technology that gives me 90% of my lisening pleasure. Cheers Mick
  13. Am I right in thinking that this is the very first time a Ric-Tic recording has been re-released through Motown since the early UK LP and a few UK TMG singles (Laura Lee / San Remo etc) back in the very early seventies ? Cheers Mick
  14. Yes Lou, I bought the downloads - I think this post was started before you released it. Cheers Mick
  15. Can't seen to find a sound file of either release (loads of copies for sale in all the ususal places, $5 / £5 etc, but none have audio).
  16. Here's a pic of the 11283 release ... B Side is called "He Outdid Himself" Cheers Mick
  17. Which one was issued in a picture sleeve ? Was it this one or "There's Room For Me" Or am I thinking of something else (Picture of Jesse on a beach looking out to sea)
  18. Kev, just PMd you. see what you think.
  19. Kev - I've got a perfect "Melvin Davis" recording right here - it's the identical recording, there may be a miniscule difference in the leveling, either by Hayley for its pending release, or by myself on my recording, but it's clearly the same. Cheers Mick
  20. "I am nothing, take 3" "I know that man" Cheers Mick
  21. Always thought the first track was Melvin Davis - Lucille. I must have got my wires crossed. Great tune
  22. Here's the four US variations 2149-S (Demo) 2149-S- (Issue) 2172-S (Demo) These images are typical, as there are multiple variations of these first three (different layouts, demos with coloured logo and black logo etc.). However, I could only find this single scan of a 2172-S Issue (there may, of course, be others). 2172-S (Issue) Cheers Mick
  23. Theres, loads of copies on Youtube - Here's one of them ... Cheers Mick
  24. Indeed - As was the Jimmey Soul Clark running at the same time.
  25. Here's an mp3 convertion Voz 002_sd.mp3 Cheers Mick
