My aunt peels off un-franked stamps from letters and parcels she gets where she works, she often sends me a load of peeled off stamps. I got a customs charge of £15 a few months back so I glued on the amount in used stamps onto the request card, they accepted it so I got my own back . Karma!
  2. What gets me laughing to myself is white middle class kids on X Factor singing Sam Cooke's 'A Change Is Gonna Come' , and it happens a lot....now that song IS about a black man's struggle.

Gene Serina was a member of the Lost Souls who themselves had a Northern biggie 'I'm Your Love, Man' on Glasco. Didn't realise he'd passed away.
  4. A good one on the 'Looking Back' LP is this double sided beauty from Mr. Floyd....
  5. I have that Polydor album you speak of. I bought it for about £20 mainly for the Cody Black track as I though "ooh, that's it's first official UK outing". I was very disappointed when I played it, all the tracks emerge together as one long continuous play and some are cut short. Was you disappointed Dick? Regarding the Primettes, Eddie Floyd and Al Gardner LP, the reason they are brought together is because they are all early Detroit recordings from future big stars (obviously Primettes became the Supremes and Eddie Floyd had a few great hits).

  7. From their 3rd Album 'The World Of Soul'.
  8. Which Danny Wagner one? Which Mr. Bloe one? Only reason I ask is 'cos I have these 2 LPs and would like to document it.
  9. I'm 3 years out, sorry! I can't help you with your release but it is rare, that I do know. Interesting, as the group also recorded a track called 'Runnin' Girl' on Veep and that track was also released on 'Chartbuster' but by Solomon King!! It's exactly the same recording though...bizzare!
  10. There is a boot on Hiback but I've only seen the boots on the yellow/black issue.
  11. Huns' Review £622!! That's pleasing, I've had it twice, once for 60p from a car boot in Wisbech and then a minter from ebay for £50. Traded the car boot one for £60 with my old mate Perry Crosby and missed it so bought the one on ebay which I still have. Great record, but £600+!!!!
  12. Don't think so, there are loads about...but then so are there of Helen Shapiro 'Tell Me What He Said'

  14. One of my favourites back in the day! Diamond was an actor and was considered for the role of 'Robin' with Adam West but at 21 was feared too old. The strange world of Northern Soul!
  15. Pesci, second from left...

Are you serious? If so that's got to be one of the best car boot (UK) finds ever! I got this for 60p.... ...and this for 25p....

Popsike suggests around the £50 mark.
  19. Just picked this up, LP only track. The group mostly use Linda Tillery as vocalist and she is African American but the rest of the band are white. This one can be classed as blue eyed soul as the vocalist is Paul Fauerso, nice rendition of the Four Tops...
