  1. I have loads of obscurities, too many to mention on here but here's one off the top of my head... Famous Chromes - Teach Me/I Gotta Groove On (Drive) 60's funk?
  2. I have the Fabulous Denos (King) white promo. EX Any good to you?
  3. I'd say Dee Clark guest vocalist in those last few photo's for sure dobber.
  4. I'm pretty sure I have the 45 if you're still interested.
  5. I have a Tommy Frontera that is f***ed so I am going to give it a try with this method, definitely!
  6. Yes, found it, thanks.
  7. I tried to order from ebay then got refunded saying not available. Where can I get them?

Sorry, my bad. I checked my copy. I just couldn't remember the Detroit Strings track!!

Huh? My 7" only has one track on the flip, Willie Jones.
  10. BTW, the L.P is on Philips, the label they were on in the mid-sixties when they recorded their uptempo soul sounds.
  11. I have their L.P where they basically have 'updated' their old sounds. That track in particular is a stand out sound given the northern treatment. Think the L.P is from around 1966. So the answer you are looking for is that the 'Goldmine' CD track is probably the more northern soul sounding L.P cut.
  12. Superb post! Ham acting but that film looks great, I want to see it!
  13. Half of my prediction, around £50 GBP then... Still a great LP to have though.
  14. Thanks for posting Dave, that's what propelled me to post this thread in the first place as I am on Garage Hangover's update list and when I got that info I remembered about that particular Raven 45 in my collection.
  15. Ah, so is he 'Pee Wee' or someone completely different?
  16. I see John's latest features an Invitations on MGM, bet that surpasses all other copies before it!
  17. Same as mine Paul, bet you'd get a few quid off the bay for those.
  18. Yes, I've seen the one on Centennial but only heard one side. Pity about the youtube clip not seeing any vinyl action

"Hey y'all listen to me, I really got something I want you to see. I know a place not so far away, where you can move and groove all night and day. Get aboard your motorbike, run, walk or jive 'cos it's outasight!"

Pfft! ...and it's not even in a Vocalion sleeve, unlike mine!
  21. As a collector of Blue-eyed Soul/Beach/Garage/California Sound etc... I thought I'd ask about a curious 45 residing in my collection on 'Raven'. Not sure if it's the same label as the Soulmasters/Gene & Teambeats etc but it's from West Virginia. 'I'm So Tired' is a nice down-tempo ballad whilst 'Fat Woman' is a more funky uptempo offering. I know absolutely nothing about the group but found a nice tune by them on youtube, unfortunately it offers no information whatsoever about it's release so I'm asking if anyone on here knows if it was released?
  22. As a collector for 35 odd years I couldn't believe there was one on there I didn't know! The Ster-phonics....and what a tune!!!
  23. Someone mentioned a book, didn't Anglo American recently publish a price guide featuring albums and the 'Northern' type tracks listed? Anyway, as a serious album collector and I do have most already mentioned, I agree with those listed. Here's one not mentioned and a great inclusion...
