  1. ...and a ballad version of 'Are You Angry' by Thee Midniters. Also, don't forget the Servicemen's release on Grapevine a few years back.
  2. Think the Demo's probably worth the same. Maybe this 45 is getting harder cos' it took me a while to obtain one. Johnny Manship lists at £75. Some positive comments. I love it!
  3. Apologies if I've breached the rules as this DID get a release in the USA (not sure in UK)....BUT just look at this super Dutch sleeve!
  4. Marv Johnson? So who's that on the picture sleeve? Not Marv! When's #8 'There's That Beat' out Dave?
  5. Other side 'Baby Cakes'.....most definitely a Northern stormer becoming very popular. Crumb, I've done the exact thing you're thinking of doing, to be honest MOST Northern 45s have a good deep side so I just flipped them, recorded them and any I weren't that keen on left off the CD. Think you may be in for some great surprises, too many to list, some sound even better the second or third time you hear them. I'll try and post up a track listing.
  6. Cracking flip too 'Hard To Hold Back Tears'.
  7. I've been a fan of this tune for a while now. Put it on my 'Album Only' CD compilation. Superb!
  8. Actually came with a fab picture cover. No p/c on this ebay listing.

What about the UK 45 Chess released 45 from around 1973? Not too expensive for that....and an original UK release.

'Tis true! 'Tis true! A Motown unissued gem!

What if the autograph was at the same time(ish) of release, say, 1960's? I have an Island Ska 45 signed by Jimmy Cliff in the 1960's.....does this make it more acceptable? Also, surely if it's someone like Marvin Gaye or Bob Marley who are no longer with us (and legends) the record is even more valuable?
  12. Great picture chalky! What about the Bluelight label group ('I Don't Care Anymore')....which are these, the Dennis Brennan group or the Moneytown group?
  13. Yes it's Bobby Goldsboro's classic. Don't think this came out any other way except these pressings? ps: Is that you in your avatar? looks uncannily like a young Kenny Daglish????

Flipside 'I'm Depending On You'...great too!

He's positioned it just right....not giving too much away! Would have thought if it was a USA original he'd auction it on it's own. Just my opinion mind.
  16. 100% boot! I've had it and sound quality is shite!
  17. Rocky Roberts shows how it should be done...love that clip, thanks for that! Great!
  18. ....that'll cost the producers! Be cheaper, and far, far, far better to use an original & authentic soundtrack. Silly buggers!
  19. Only ever seen blue issues of these, white demos must be bloody hard to get Paul.
  20. Well, you know, tried to create a 60's soul sound (I do stress 'tried' ). ...."features a pounding soundtrack of Northern Soul classics covered by artists LIKE ....." The way I read it is it's just giving an example of what the music is like (obviously that's open to debate!) and not featuring these artists.
  21. Hey Tomangoes! I've put it on a CD myself 'Album tracks Only'....if you want a free copy PM me.
  22. If you read it, I think it actually means that these artists 'HAVE' copied the Northern Soul sounds. I know it say's they've done covers, but that's newspapers for you! Probably just giving an example to the 'great unwashed'. The people responsible seem to have a passion for the music and I'm pretty sure they'll be using proper Northern sounds. It sounds like it could be a good film (imo).
  23. As it's a 'first' UK release it's definitely worth having, but gotta be no more that £10/15 I'd have said???? Obviously a Peachtree USA original gonna be over £100.
