  1. I'm watching a couple of LPs from his Discogs site but they are not on his website. Would I get the 50% reduction then if I order them from Discogs? Thanks
  2. Good call, looks like it could be them judging by a photo I have of them...
  3. Does anyone recognise the groups in these 2 photos? They are in my 'Soul Artists' album of photos as 'unknown'.
  4. Thought the boot had 4 prong marks around the middle which looks as though a centre has been pushed out.
  5. Cheers guys! I thought that looked like 'Millie Small' in the background on the 2nd photo! Indeed.
  6. Had these photos for ages in my 'Soul Artists' USB album but listed as 'unknown'. Anyone have any ideas who they might be? The guy on the piano could be Booker T. ? TIA.
  7. Yeah, The Hollies had a 'beat' hit with the Evie Sands Northern Soul in-demander. Evie Sands every time though!!!
  8. Jimmy Cliff on a great Ska 45....
  9. So-so Brit version of the 'Lemme B. Good' mid-tempo track...
  10. ..and strangely, it also has the same B-side as Lorraine Silver's 45.. 'I Know You'll Be There'!!!
  11. I would imagine some would dismiss as pop pap, but I quite like this version of the Tommy Sands Northern dancer...
  12. Goldmine, Kent etc need to bring out a double album / CD of all the great Northern Soul LP only tracks!
  13. I found this... Not really much info and apologies if you've already seen it... 45catGene Thompson And The Counts - Won't You Let Me Know7" Single on 45cat: Gene Thompson And The Counts - Won't You Let Me Know / You Don't Love Me - Ace - USA - 673 x
  14. One was Jimmy Beaumont's 'I Never Loved Her Anyway'.
  15. I actually won my copy of the CD from Record Collector magazine. Result!
  16. Hi Robb, Maybe you have an answer to this? Discogs have linked Mike Williams to Jimmy Williams who were in a rock/beat group during 1965/6 called 'The Playboys Of Edinburg'. Later, the brothers formed a country outfit called 'The Younger Brothers'. As you can probably work out, these are white musicians. However, as Mike Williams also had a 45 out on 'King' which is a James Brown production, I have my doubts! Begs the question: if Mike is a white guy... 'Vietnam Through The Eyes Of Black America'.??

  18. Thanks for that! Charlotte also recorded on Rodd Keith's Preview label under the moniker 'Bonnie Graham' and had a couple of Northern tunes on that label.
