  4. hi all,was goin through some boxes and came across this, couldnt remember buying it etc so i gave it a spin and recognised it instantly, to me this is a great tune, love the way the singing stops towards the end and the driving beat takes over till the end, it certainly wouldnt have cost me much so it must be a cheapie ? was just wonderin if anyone plays it out, current price, any info at all really, love it when i find good tunes i didnt realise i had, doesnt happen often though thank you jason
  5. sad news but i enjoyed reding that, thanks dave jason
  6. good points but i must add that there are people,me included who want to hear the slower tumbleweed stuff,im just as happy to listen to a brill midtempo xover tune with hardly anyone on the dancefloor as i am listening to a full throttle dancer, and im certainly not the only one, this is why stafford was so special to me,the only example i can give is usos in walsall, djs playing all styles are booked and i expect to be educated with tunes i hadnt heard before no matter what the tempo, and usos delivers every time, whils there not so long ago a guy played the dynamics-lonely man and although difficult to dance to it was one of the most soulful tunes i ever heard, gut wrenching soul, spose my point is do a little homework of the djs booked before you attend the venue and you will have a good idea wat to expect, just my opinion of course jason

  18. interestingly this record was also played and collected on the rock and roll scene(as a stroller,i think they called this type of dance ?) i used to go to rock and roll nights cos my mate got into it and i heard it played a few times, hope that hasnt put you off your new purchase bud ! great tune jason
  19. thebig thing about stafford for me was the secrecy of it all,the illusiveness, the unknown, the covered up,as a 16yr old boy i was fascinated by this magical and sometimes dark place, the kebites who would dress like him, the strange wind up characters, tunes that we wouldnt be told the name of and that seemed as rare as monet paintings,i loved it,lovedit with a passion and as already said it shaped my life musically,it ws 25 years ago but to me it was the greatest allnighter ever jason
