  1. That song is great but it's a little too slow to play at a dance event. Their other big hit "hey you get off my mountain" has a nice groove. I really like "fell for you" and "I panicked". In Chicago the dramatics theme is a big steppers cut:

that makes sense, it is under the radar but hard to find. one of those things that's 50 pounds if you're looking, $5 if you're not
  3. The dramatics were so good that it probably would be easier to list crappy singles. "whatcha see is whatcha get" has to be one of the greatest soul songs of the 70s. FWIW I think the greatest soul song of the 70s is the spinners "I'll be around" -- it's totally played out but still great.

If I had a mint copy of the o'jays I think i would try to get closer to 50 pounds

Yeah those are the correct label orders. Wax Museum is from the early 80s I think. Dynamics was the local label licensed to Backbeat.
  6. people on here flip out at the drop of a hat, then there's always 10 coming in to cuss the other person out (assuming they're also not online here).
  7. is "leech" spelled differently in England? Because every single person in this thread is spelling it with an "a". or is it a reference to Robin Leach?

In my experience, the blue is much less common than green. If it's different in the UK, they may have been imported more as blue. Either way, I don't know if it makes a price difference.

    or my unnecessary reply. sorry.

Actually you need to sell all your LPs and reinvest in 45s
  11. apparently he's also got other haters who aren't on this thread who have to hate him.
  12. That is definitely a reasonable price for someone set saleing it, especially if you have a buyer lined up.
  13. That is one of the group's most common titles. Maybe $30-$50? there are a few in popsike from very recently for $25-$30

even if it was too expensive, a sort of overpriced record isn't a "comedy sale". That's cheaper than it would be on some of the soul source users' websites.
  15. I wonder if he put up the "haters gotta hate" pic before or after you posted this link
  16. Here is the fabulous impacts: https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=230480180747 I have it and I mine might be a different color, I have to pull it out to check if it also is the same tracks. I thought mine was the one that came with the pic sleeve. I have to actually go do my radio show now so I will check later. Also, thanks for your nice comments on my mix for Soul People. Now I'm an international superstar.

ok, there is a really really bad one but I can't think of it to find a scan in popsike... will try to find it and post it.
  18. I think I have a double in not-that-great condition if you wanted it.
  19. It's not expensive, although it has been going up in demand, I don't know if the price reflects that yet. Maybe $25? I'm sure someone will respond if I'm way off now.
  20. They have another record as the fabulous impacts on dad's. I think that one comes with a picture sleeve.
  21. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, will write up a playlist when I get a chance.

I'm confused, are you asking for the worst graphic design on a label?
  23. I didn't do it (or don't get it). It would be funnier if he referred to me as "some a-hole"

also, for what it's worth, I've never gotten a cracked record from you, and I've probably bought hundreds of records from you at this point

Actually Carl, I know exactly what you're talking about, they look like stress lines on styrene going across the record. Someone on here once said that they formed as part of the pressing process. I actually used to consider those cracks and send those back. But so many styrene records have those that I have to deal with it and it's not like unstable where it will break more. But what I was referring to was genuinely cracked records that are cracked at the edge. They are almost always tight cracks that the seller either missed or was hoping that I would miss.
