please give one link to a thread on soul source discussing a record producer where people refrained from posting known negative information about a US record producer. also, which part of my post did not make "logical sense"?

Botanic Label Question
Hi. I'm not sure what specific type of answer you're looking for, but whoever ran the label clearly pressed it twice with two label designs. Unless someone is in contact with that person, I don't know what type of answer you could get. I don't think it has anything to do with different pressing plants though. Thanks.

I'm sorry, I can't think of what you're talking about. Sorry if this is something obvious that I'm forgetting or sorry if I'm misunderstanding you. If you know a specific time in the interview that I play it I can listen to it. Thanks.

that's because the american legends that end up posting here are almost all artists and not producers. They usually weren't involved with the business aspects. The only producer I can think of that posted here (besides Lorraine) is Paul Kyser. I don't see why it's only acceptable to discuss the positives of anyone, american or otherwise.

The Brothers, Are You Ready For This, Anyone Know The Vocal?
The revelation record is known as a classic dance / pre-house track, at least in chicago

Velvet Hammer - Happy
hi, not sure what you're referring to, maybe a different group I interviewed? The Velvet Hammer, Walter and the Admerations, Green Berets, and High Society are all the same group.

Velvet Hammer - Happy
Interesting, I never knew this connection. It had to be Andre Williams and not the other group members itself that stole the track though.

What's The Information On This One - Anyone
I enjoyed this old thread: also she posts an intro here: back to the first thread, it's really amusing to me the sort of pre-ebay valuations and conceptions of rarity that people had. I suspect that it's not the fault of some of the people posting, that instead they had been gouged by some other dealer who charged them a million bucks and hyped up the rarity. Some of the older "rarest record" type threads are pretty funny to read.

this is like the second most controversial topic here after originals vs. boots. it would be cool if the two could be combined somehow.

70 Funk/crossover/modern & Disco 45's With Audio >>>>>
the large number of embedded youtube videos also makes the page load really slowly and crash on slower machines. One thing I think you can do is put a question mark at the end of each youtube link and it will act as a link and not be embedded. Also, you should be able to increase the text size using the full editor (I'm not sure why only your posts have decreased text size). thanks.

FYI, the extra tiny font constantly interrupted by the huge youtube videos makes your list very difficult to read

Charles Russell/new Image, It Ain't Easy
Yeah I have it. it's hard to find but not super rare and not expensive when it comes up. It's not known though and pretty cool, I think it would be worth more if known as there are a large group of collectors that like that funky psychedelic sound.

Is Playing A Boot At A Venue Ever Acceptable
It takes only one DJ before you to break a needle and screw up your whole set. Additionally, I do some quick basic calibration on the turntable when putting my cartridge on as I've found many confused DJs will just dial the weight all the way up (and the antiskate to 10 or whatever).

Is Playing A Boot At A Venue Ever Acceptable
This doesn't make sense to me. all these people are spending $$$ on records in order to have "OVO" to DJ with. Very few are actually collecting. The whole thread is an argument about what is acceptable to DJ with, not to have in your house. It makes no sense to me that people will spend tons of money on records but not a tiny bit more on cartridges, not only to protect their investment but to also improve their DJ sets. The whole reason most people on the scene bought the records is to DJ.

Is Playing A Boot At A Venue Ever Acceptable
I really don't understand how northern DJs don't always bring good cartridges and use them. People who have a whole box of $200+ records can't spend $200 to get a couple carts and a plastic case to keep their set sounding good and from screwing up their records? It's totally irrational, and not in the way that that some other parts of the scene come off as strange, there's literally no justification for not doing it. Vinyl DJs on any other scene bring their own cartridges.

Charles Russell/new Image, It Ain't Easy
his brother raymond produced the recording. i think he was a psychologist or psychiatrist (or something related) which is why "psych" was the record label. they didn't want to send their tapes over to me to be transferred so I don't have the basic tracks. I would have loved to have their other 45 as instrumental, both sides are awesome. I don't know if they sent the tapes to ace/kent. i pmed you asking for your email address. this is the best charles russell 45, one of the greatest sweet soul 45s of all time:
