Sunny & The Sunliners ...... Rpr Or Key-Loc?
I think Key-Loc is the first label. It's also the rarer press. RPR records was based in hollywood so I'm pretty sure it's the second, larger label. It seems dumb to me to not allow you to play it on RPR but the soul police should be able to comment further.

Botanic Label Question
The velvet hammer 45s have different b-sides? Either way the same answer doesn't apply because some information came from the group itself. I see the botanic record appears to have been produced by swamp dogg. I think you could try to contact him to see if he has answers? Good luck.

Charles Russell/new Image, It Ain't Easy
the "my love is hot" record mentioned at the end of the article is the disco record "burning with fever" that I was referring to
-
Velvet Hammer - Happy
Everything he writes there seems accurate -- he even acknowledges that willie weems was the main guitarist. Do you have an email for him? What interested me is actually the mention of the Chicago TNTs -- he has to be talking about the Chi-TNTs on Daran.

Velvet Hammer - Happy
I interviewed a member the Turks (even got a photo) and he gave the lineup of all his groups, never mentioning a carl snyder.

Ian Levine Productions
please give one link to a thread on soul source discussing a record producer where people refrained from posting known negative information about a US record producer. also, which part of my post did not make "logical sense"?

Botanic Label Question
Hi. I'm not sure what specific type of answer you're looking for, but whoever ran the label clearly pressed it twice with two label designs. Unless someone is in contact with that person, I don't know what type of answer you could get. I don't think it has anything to do with different pressing plants though. Thanks.

Velvet Hammer - Happy
I'm sorry, I can't think of what you're talking about. Sorry if this is something obvious that I'm forgetting or sorry if I'm misunderstanding you. If you know a specific time in the interview that I play it I can listen to it. Thanks.

Ian Levine Productions
that's because the american legends that end up posting here are almost all artists and not producers. They usually weren't involved with the business aspects. The only producer I can think of that posted here (besides Lorraine) is Paul Kyser. I don't see why it's only acceptable to discuss the positives of anyone, american or otherwise.

The Brothers, Are You Ready For This, Anyone Know The Vocal?
The revelation record is known as a classic dance / pre-house track, at least in chicago
-
Velvet Hammer - Happy
hi, not sure what you're referring to, maybe a different group I interviewed? The Velvet Hammer, Walter and the Admerations, Green Berets, and High Society are all the same group.

Velvet Hammer - Happy
Interesting, I never knew this connection. It had to be Andre Williams and not the other group members itself that stole the track though.

A Couple Wants
what is this? is this a US polydor release? do you have a soundclip?

Ian Levine Productions
I don't know really anything about his productions but I just listened to this and it was pretty good, I was surprised.

What's The Information On This One - Anyone
I enjoyed this old thread: also she posts an intro here: back to the first thread, it's really amusing to me the sort of pre-ebay valuations and conceptions of rarity that people had. I suspect that it's not the fault of some of the people posting, that instead they had been gouged by some other dealer who charged them a million bucks and hyped up the rarity. Some of the older "rarest record" type threads are pretty funny to read.

this is like the second most controversial topic here after originals vs. boots. it would be cool if the two could be combined somehow.

70 Funk/crossover/modern & Disco 45's With Audio >>>>>
the large number of embedded youtube videos also makes the page load really slowly and crash on slower machines. One thing I think you can do is put a question mark at the end of each youtube link and it will act as a link and not be embedded. Also, you should be able to increase the text size using the full editor (I'm not sure why only your posts have decreased text size). thanks.
