The voice sounds very familiar, sounds like an english based performer, could it be Johnny Johnson of the Bandwagon fame? Just a thought. rob h.

  8. I was in Rome last year and one evening prior to going out i searched the tv for something to watch, there was a documentary on the Video boxes, fascinating stuff, very early Italian rock n roll and crooners all the way through to late sixties pop, not much of interest for soul lovers but things like this fascinate me, and it was obviously big business in its day, as an aside i seem to recall watching something on UK television about short music films that were done for the jump jive bands of the 40,s and fifties Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway etc anyone else see this, there was some great footage of the masters of swing. rob h.
  9. I had an Anthony White Hey Baby philly int issue for $6 off gemm and Tamiko Jones, im spellbound Golden World £25 from Marrs Barr allnighter. Fairly pleased with those transactions. rob h.

  13. Talking of Neptune lp,s The New Direction NLPS-200 is worth picking up for Teardrops and Heartaches, lovely ballad in the 5th Dimension mould, and a cheap lp to pick up too rob h.

hi, i went to a few of these, although i thought they were late seventies, or was the venue resurected, also didnt Clive Jones have something to do with those nights, cant remember much of what was played there, but seem to remember Top Secret and Crying over you by the Newbeats getting plays. (christ knows why i can remember that!!!!!) rob h.

  17. not sure on value, picked this up early eighties for about 50p, never heard it played out, a bit too heavy on the high hat for my liking, supposedly the theme from the movie "Brotherhood of Death" no other info sorry, anyone else? rob h.
  18. I think this has something to do with a licencing deal along with the cream label that issued James Fountain back in the day, there is certainly the label connection via James Fountain, the guy to speak to is Francis Tee from Kiddy as i know he had a few of these, maybe still has. rob h.
  19. I have always prefered the Pat Sands to the Delfonics, my copy is on vinyl and certainly isnt thin, flat as a pancake too, bought off John Farrell many moons ago for about 60p rob h.
  20. if it is the sweet blindness track, when you get it flip it over, great tune too. rob h.
