Hiya Gogs You change your mind then....... as to leaving, did you have a bad day!!!!

Just checked my emails and was very surprised to see that I had a paypal refund ???? Was gobsmacked when I checked it.... I had bought an album from the states and the refund had been given because the seller was charged less than she quoted for the shipping and therefore refunded the difference to my account. I would have been none the wiser had she said nothing. This is a first, has anyone else had anything like this. Philly

Confirmed, I was also there last week...... Reference was made to April fool.... maybe thats just what it is !!!! Lots and lots of hype, a great, no fantastic piece of marketing and PR, lots of Motown collectables to be sold re the 50th Anniversary, DILY watches, clocks, T-shirts, mugs..... blah de blah.... Gone Fishing....hook, line and sinker.

Well done John..... god I missed so many..... can remember walking thru the mains to go to this. Back at school on the Monday, a lot of the Fintry gang went to school with me.

Totally agree with all positives that have been said....... we have a tremendous bunch of DJs up here who are on top of their game musically but not getting the bookings they deserve, this would be the ideal place to showcase them. It has been too long since Scotland had an all - nighter scene, the Aberdeen guys have with great tenacity set the ball rolling, and this can only get better (Looking forward to the next one in April). We as a small nation had some of the best all-nighters in the country, ie Marryat Hall, Allanton, Glenrothes, Clouds to name but a few. As for clashing with other venues, communication is the key. I for one hope this comes off and that all the other soulies out there give support. Philly

Have to agree with you there Div...... Andy Dennison has got to be right at the top there, his sets never fail to amaze me, he always comes up with that big oomph of something special, great imaginative sets. Very nice to see something like this starting up in your area. We also have a nice Scottish retirement home, for unwanted, overplayed and unloved dusty vinyl. This lovely retirement home is also free of charge and our retirees have a lovely stress free life with us, no more spinning for them, just a nice relaxing mellow, loving atmosphere surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of good old fresh air(ing). So for all retired/unwanted vinyl especially our dear beloved ones across the border, why not spend the Autumn of your years at: "PHILLY'S HEILAN HAME"......... All welcome, PM for more details
