  1. Nice one Gogs. This one is the spitting image of Little Smith. I had him for 18 years and lost him three years ago. Bought a tear to my eye has that. Peter
  2. He looks like a nice pal to go walking with Pete. Peter
  3. I think I have a good eye for a photograph it's getting to grips with all the kit that puts me off. Even down to knowing what to buy etc. Perhaps I need to invest a little time in taking a look at the whole caboodle. Cheers matey. Peter
  4. Beautiful Pete. We have quite a few breeding pairs of swans on the Grantham canal nearby. Always have to steel yourself walking past the parents if they are on the toe path with the cygnets! They can be quite intimidating - which is good. Lovely creatures. It's something special watching the young learn to fly and have seen many a take off and landing error! Peter
  5. Hi Davie I keep thinking that I would like to take up photography as a hobby. I'm not very good with technology though and have very little patience in terms of reading manuals and instructions - I just want to go! It all seems very complicated to me. Do you think I should look out for a night school class or something like that? Peter
  6. These are a bit better - just took them. The female sure is pretty! Peter
  7. Wow! That's beautiful Davie. Peter
  8. Here's a couple of pics I've just captured from our Nottingham Peregrine Web Cam - see other thread. The first one is of the nest with the female on the ledge over looking the city. This one is a not too brilliant one of the chicks nearing three weeks old. I'll get a better one tomorrow. Peter
  9. Yep, we have lots in our garden at work now. Zipping past, chirping and chasing each other! Peter
  10. Wow! They're amazing Ste. Hope the nest box is a fruitful - or chickfull, this year. Peter
  11. Hi Rich Richard Fields bought a cabaret called the Cold Duck Music Lounge in San Francisco. He had a very unusual career. I bought his 1981 album featuring the "I like your loving" record which I posted earlier which is how I first learned of him. I thought he was much younger than he was. He died quite young of a stroke. Peter
  12. Hi Ian Mm, it ain't a cheapy. Just seen one on Discogs for £125. Peter
  13. Hi Mate I've saved it to photo shop. Lets see if this uploads the right way up There we go. Peter
  14. Ah. Nice one Dave. I have a few of the Dimples's albums. Possibly my favourite 80's tune from him is this one Sorry, if that's off topic - probably sneaks in! Peter
  15. Fcuk it! I tried three times to read that stood on my head - it didn't work. I've seen that album before - what's it called. Peter

  18. It's one of those records that has "it" whilst also being a little understated. The two often go hand in hand and are indicators of a great record. Peter
  19. Nice play lists guys. Some proper soul music on the decks. Peter
  20. Nice one Steve Always an enjoyable and educational experience. Thanks for putting the pod casts together. Peter
  21. Great record Ian. Peter
  22. The black birds in my garden have fledged today. Watched dad feeding a youngster on the ground for 15 minutes and hoping that the cat from up the road didn't turn up! Sorry I didn't get a picture. Peter
