  5. Very sorry to hear that too. Mr Callier had a very special kind of relationship with the people who enjoyed both his music and him as a person. Peter
  6. Cheers mate. It's funny how our memory deceives us - I thought it sounded like Pat's voice with Dave's records. LOL Peter
  7. It's at about 56.40 - I think its Pat sounds like him and his set from back then. Haven't a clue about the version of Alfie Davidson but I think Im starting to remember it existed.
  8. Thanks Mr Chalky! Bloody hell - forgot all about that Love Is Serious Business cover - I think. Who was that? Was it Dave playing that or Pat - yep it's Pat I think. Sorry, mate, so many questions! Cheers Peter
  9. Interesting stuff. Well done for making it happen.
  10. Great stuff Chalks - thnks to you and John. I'd forgotten that Adam used to spin the Treat Her Like a Lady record - sounds good still full blast! Peter
  11. Nice one Andy. Not read that before top stuff and very worthy of the man. Peter
  12. Another musical legend departs. Sad news indeed.
  13. Yep, thanks Chalky. Some will certainly feel less "comfortable" reading those than others. LOL. Peter
  14. Great stuff Mike. Just been having a stroll down memory lane!
  15. I am a member who had a period of absence - there were lots of changes when I returned and I thought I would struggle. Soon got up to speed and things that I use work for me ok.
  16. I agree - Sir Dickie, Soul Sam, Poke, Gary Rushbrooke, could go on. Arthur Fenn....................

  18. Bloody hell Ian you get around! Louth! Louth!
  19. I agree Jason. Chalky has put together a piece of real musical and social history - something well worth recording. Absolutely great stuff - and must have taken a great deal of effort and time. I've already saluted the man - but thanks again Chalky. Peter
  20. Debby Dobbins - Glad I Found You - what a cracking piece of soul music this is.
  21. That made me smile Tony.
  22. Just listened to Ady's set - well balanced, well put together.
  23. Hey Dave Nice one.
  24. The Guy and Keb ones will be interesting. I have to confess that I never really learnt to appreciate the "60's newies" offerings of the pair - in fact I despaired at them, really didn't like them at all. I guess there might be room for some debate there - although I'm pretty certain that we have done that one before. Interesting to hear some views though. I had a bad name for both Guy and Keb at the time - influenced by my take on their playlists.
