  1. JM has it in his 4th guide. Scepter 12159. Flip is "Long, long trail" The guide also suggests it may have been either booted or re-issued using the original label name. At £500 value, must have been booted? Also appears in the Sceptre discography

Any trip to Philly would not be complete without a visit to Val Shively's amazing store (4m+ 45's and lp's) at 49 Garrett Road, Upper Darby. Stuff about the shop and a youtube clip have featured on here before and I'm sure that other's will recommend a trip. Just don't expect any bargains!

Being a 21st century kinda guy, I thought this was going to be a thread about records to iron to!
  12. Only one through e-bay in 2004 at £36.
  13. A couple more bottom lip tremblers Randy Brown - "I'd rather hurt myself (than hurt you)" Bobby Taylor - "Does your mama know about me"
  14. I heard the Mike Reid version on a Bob Harris show some time ago. He's the guy that used to be an American Football player with the Cincinnati Bengals, quite a talented guy. Julie London - oh yes!
  15. Tone, only in the very broadest sense would I consider Bonnie Raitt non-soul. Mindful of the soul police when I quoted that, and besides I've a thing for redheads! She absolutely brings me to my knees when I hear this.

    £50 per JM's latest
  17. Soul choice "Signing off with love" by the late and lamented Johnny Taylor. Non soul "I can't make you love me" Bonnie Raitt. These two will do it for me everytime.
  18. £50 per JM's latest
  19. It's also listed as "Looking for love"
  20. Sharp intake of breath! JM's latest has it at £1700

Just listening to the Cheques - "Deeper " on Heatwave, makes me wonder, are there many tracks on the scene that feature whistling?

Just to say that 4 copies of the Billy Gale issue have gone through ebay in the last 18 months for considerably less than £250

Billy Gales is in JM's latest at £250
  25. Mission impossible, but for the sake of joining in...... "No more tears" Anita Baker, incredible vocal performance.
