Here`s the links: https://www.starpointradio.com/ You either join in on the Starpoint chatroom or Essential modern soul:or on here. https://www.essentialmodernsoul.co.nr/ Show will be repeated Tues(See details on website) P.s Sorry to those i emailed earlier,i made a cock up with date...Doh...
  2. I Paid around £80 for this back in 2007/8 or there abouts.Andy or Tom Noble(can`t think who) was only seller at time who had them.It seems since it`s gone down in price(not one of my better moves lol)There was a collector from Norway who put a want up last year and i think he got a copy in the end for around £40-50.Hope this helps Pete.
  3. Ok good to hear not all copies hiss,i`ve always eventually found good clean copies except in 1/2 where i gave up(Might post up a few wants of them at a later date).Anybody got a clean copy for sale?Liberty takers need not apply,it`s only a cheapie, just saves me messaging loads of sellers for condiion etc.
  4. Apart from the baby laughing at start,i think it`s a great record.
  5. So Blue was first?Just found out that all the Yellow copies have a hiss even if they look mint. Can anyone who has a copy confirm either way pls?i`ve got a record on hold after seller confirmed all 200 copies he has over 25 years+ were the same. I wanna be happy on the Blue Chanson copies are the same, has a hiss on the spoken intro half way throu track.I thought this would be a nice easy find, straight transaction ,driving me nuts..
  6. i didn`t think so,Looks like we will have plenty to talk about Steve(like some of the tracks you have played on the radio) when i see ya at Essence.
  7. Think there`s been a bit of confusion here: I know the Volt wasn`t booted but was the Ovide?I have something else on that label which is Orange and if memory serves last one on ebay was same colour.Someone told me he seen a Green/Ovide copy which sounds dodgy??
  8. When i was after a copy of this, took me 3 copies before i found one which didn`t crackle.Few of em were mint looking,in the end one that played fine was only ex/vg++ so sounds like it`s not a pressing you wanna use crap needles on or rewind back.
  9. Steve,i can never have enough of your records lol . Hope your well fella?Big thx for all your replies, good news is someone has sorted me a Volt copy.P.s How do you put up smiling faces?
  10. Bagged walk away yellow label copy, thx for all your replies guys.
  11. Might be why i can`t find a copy Mike lol...Hope your well, see ya next month at Essence for our yearly chats.
  12. Gotta say won`t somebody is very nice, think this is suited for radio. If you like 80`s style synth, your like the flip.Think the Frenchies will go for this side,it`s right for what they like. Hats off to the Soul Junction chaps.
  13. Hi Steve, hope you and Tina are well?Ok i`ll go for Yellow pressing, cheers.Got there other 7": i wanna be happy which for the price is a ten.
  14. Been told this is a boot,or was it booted?I know it also came out on Volt so just wondering what label to get this on. Clock is ticking ...
  15. I noticed there`s 3 presses of this on same label,Orange,Yellow and Blue. What was 1st press? Clock is ticking ...

  18. I thought it sounded alrite for a `plinky/plonky ` type of record that all the new modern rooms play/like.Love the strings and things.
  19. Here`s my top 5: Whats with loneliness-George Jackson(every good home should have this) Make up your mind-San Francisco Tko`s.(" " " " " ") Sorry ain`t the word-Paramount four. ( " " " " " ") All in my mind-George Jackson with one other.(" " " " ") Come throu me-Garland Green.

  21. 22. Mine is the Gold label,i can`t read the year on that scan but mine is `79`and 78`with One in a million has the A-side. So it could have a later pressing by one year maybe??
  23. It was hitting £250-300 in 2000/06 on ebay for a nm copy.I know a lot of prices have come down so worth checking popsike.Wasn`t a very easy lp to find on original format. It`s up there in my all time top 5 lps, think there`s only one average track on it rest are all 10/10.
  24. Here`s a few other 2 step tracks that were big in the 80`s/early 90`s: Never like this-The Two Tons (Aka Weather girls later on) I love you-a Taste of Honey. Rocking you eternally-Leon Ware. love has come around-Wyndchymes. I don`t wanna live without you-Platinium Hook. Love don`t strike twice-Blackbyrds. Superman-Barbara Blake and the Uniques(This is more Rare Groove). Good thread
