  2. Blimey i didn`t know that Steve Can you find out what`s on the flip??
  3. It`s off lp:mother nature, there`s other tracks on the lp especially:i can`t stop dancin if you like 80`s modern. Price::used to go between £150-200 but had a while now so don`t look out for it.
  4. It`s flat Kris,so it`s a legit later press i`ve got?I only wanna know cos i tried to buy Dave`s Pinch copy to see the differance.I take it the mixs are the same?I also thought that East/West coast pressing plants pressed there run outs/covers on lp differant.

Looks like £30 for a sealed copy many years ago was a good bit of buisness

Does it really Dave ...I think my mate struggled to sell his copy last year, maybe it wasn`t in good nick I always like this tune back in the 80`s,in fact i still like it now, might be a tad too disco for some bods on here
  8. Have to say this gets the thumbs up from me,especially the a-side .If this had come out back in the day, this would have been huge in London, especially on the rare groove/connoisseur circuit.Even the modern/xover scene would have taken to it.For me Jesse has a awesome/distinctive voice, one of the greats still doing it out there. Agree with Brett/Nev on the flip(have to own the original) but i would have never known about that track had it not been re-issued so hats off to the chaps at Soul Junction.

Shocked no one has `bitten ya hand off` for this Flip is nice has well
  10. We decided to do alldayers on bank hoiliday Sundays cos at the time wasn`t much going on in the London area(i`m sure someone will differ from that). We are into our 4th year now so long may it continue . I think the reason why Sundays work is: 1/We are all getting older, can`t hack late nights anymore.Sunday is more mellow. 2/More people working on Saturdays now so kinda tricky to go out on Fri/Sat. 3/Easier to get child care etc on a Sunday than Fri/Sat. 4/Musically you can more open minded like already mentioned cos venue/pub is smaller/small dancefloor etc.
  11. Try Steve Clancey,he had 3 copies, one of which i got.He goes on here has albert fish.
  12. Mine is same has yours Brett, mine came out of a big collection where there was some seriously rare pieces but some only in vg+ condition. The Fred.Hymes was mint which did concern me at the time but seller told me he bought it years ago and going by what else was in there would`t disagree. Also remember the earlier thread to this and pmed a lot of members for ref,it seemed we all had same copy except one who didn`t return reply for some strange reason.
  13. Last 3 on here went from £35-50 not sure what press/versions so think £100 is a tad ambitious Brett
  14. Yea i just heard both versions on refosoul, blue is rawer/more earlier and Silver is the better mix ...Bugger...I thought you would have gone for Blue copy/more your style...Mind you the Blue copy has a flip where`s Silver is inst of same track
  15. I thought the Silver label copy came out first Dave? The Blue copy is a differant mix with a flip(which is pretty good).Only just picked a copy up and luckily seller had both copies(he`s a soul source member). Was told Silver mix is more 60`s and Blue is more modern with strings + things so i took the Blue. There`s no year on the Blue copy.
  16. Send my love back, will you guys be going to Ems weekender this year? Ok cheers for info...
  17. Hi Steve,i thought they were the same Artist cos the recording sound the same .Any ideas what year the Tcb one came out anyone?? You were quick off the blocks fella, hope your both well
  18. That`s my second cock up today ...Yes should be Joy tones...
  19. Just pulled this out of box :This love-The Love Potion on Tcb records... Who did it first??Any ideas of years both were released?? Clock is ticking..
  20. Just played it this morning and gotta say what an lp,essential for those into Modern with strings + things. Stand outs for me: 1 can`t wait (untill the weekend) (If you didn`t pick up the 7" than your need this awesome. For those that did there`s a great funkier version which is very nice) Be concerned. Nice version of Al Wilsons, more down-tempo take. Thank you baby. (For me,this would work on radio or playing out) Love is the way (longer studio version than the 7" from 1980,i think this version just shades it for me.) Hats off to Dave and John for putting out another quality release
  21. Paul McKay found a few copies of the 7" if anyone is after a copy.
  22. Shame it never got a 7" release cos most of the lp was non soul artists.Think that`s why a lot of people have missed it/not known.Great track Feat Bernadette Bascom. That was a good price £80,always thought that one would rise
  23. Is it Jap only??I`m sure was told there`s u.s copies of it about but my memory is going.
