Got an acetate of this in the early 70's from Les McCutcheon that I believe came from Simon Soussant (well documented about 6 years ago on John Manships website) has all details on label except who sang it !! It was years later when listening to Richard Searling on Red Rose Radio (circa 1989!! I had been off the scene for some time bringing up a family and starting a wholesale business!! needs must) that I finally found out who sang it!! I also got the black boot on In Records giving credit to Eddie Foster as the Artist sent to me by Les about a couple of years later (mid 70's) but he still wouldn't tell me the real artist!! finally picked up a Tamla Motown british demo later that year (89/90) although that had been deleated for ages still got the Acetate but demo sold!! Love it or hate it!! it is an anthem and will always be part of the history of Northern Soul!!! ATB John
