  1. I've seen it listed as high as £75 which seems over the top to be honest, it generally goes for between £40 and £60 even though there seemed to be loads of them about not that long ago.
  2. Not for me either. Always thought it sounded like The Buzzcocks Noise Annoys, rather appropriate really. Pretty girls Pretty boys Have you ever heard your mommy scream Noise annoys

Definitely report it to Ebay because the seller will probably claim that you and he have both mutuually agreed not to conclude the sale so that he canl get his sales fee back from Ebay. I doubt you'll get him to part with the record for the price you bid but at least he'll get stung for fees for a record he didn't sell.
  4. Rare ish I would say but not huge money, it certainly doesn't come up that often though. I missed one on Ebay recently at $308.00, it's realistically a £180 to £200 record.
  5. Still looking for a copy if anyone wants to sell. Cheers Shaun
  6. I have to admire your honesty https://www.dadams.co.uk/familyfortunes.htm

  14. I'd be grateful to know if "We must make it Happen" was ever booted as I have 2 different copies. 1 We must make it happen - credits Al Hudson and the soul partners - ATCO - Vinyl - Scrathed in the run out ST - 76C 30180 - 4 followed by AT about 2 inches further round. 2 We must make it happen - credits only Al Hudson - ATCO - Vinyl altought not a thick as the other 1 and scrathed in the run out ST - 76C 30180 - 1 followed by AT about 2 inches further round. I always thought that both of these were legit but know I'm not sure. Any help or info would be appreciated. If they are legit I'm assuming there's no dfference in price but again I might e wrong about this too. Thanks Shaun
  15. Does anyone remember the Function at the Junction - Clapham which was, at the time, probably the leading soul night in the country. The Function at the Junction nights were held upstairs at the Coronet Pub in Clapham some 20 years ago now. At the time nighters were the order of the day and there was really very little interest in soul nights. However this venue seemed to be the exception to that rule. Although my memory isn't great on this as I was only able to attend on a couple of occasions I do recall the venue being first class as was the music policy. I can't remember who promoted or dj'd at the venue but I'm sure that I saw Stuart Cosgrove there, don't know if he was a regular attendee though. Although it's some 20 years ago I do believe that this was a really important venue. Having said that the passing of time might have just clouded my judgement on this a little. It would be really useful to know when and why the nights finished and what happened to the venue.
  16. There are usually 1 or 2 a month to be found on EBAY at £15 to £20 although I have noticed that a few more people are bidding on these since the release of the re-issue. There's 1 for sale now at : - https://cgi.ebay.com/COKE-ESCOVEDO-Comin-At...1QQcmdZViewItem

The Dells - Your Song - 20th Century I've just realised that I've got US and UK releases of this and wanted to check the price of each before letting one of them go. I always thought they were both in the £60 to £80 bracket but I might be wrong Cheers Shaun
  20. I've never been a fan and do not understand the attraction. However, it does remind me of a nighter at Notts Palias in the early 80's when I found myself sitting next to a slim guy of about 5'10 who had slighlty curly hair. He was wearing a head band and a black glove on his left hand and introduced himself with the following : - "Hello mate I'm Steve xxxxx from xxxxxxx and I'm the best dancer in here." Funny, but he didn't seem to have any mates with him. I do remember his surname and where he was from but it's probably best if I don't mention them, he might still be about.

I also think it's a stunning piece of work. The bass sounds terrific and very authentic, it's also slightly further up in the mix than the original. I actually find it better that way.

  24. Definitely buy records as an investment, but not a financial one though, these purchases should be seen as more of an an investment in your spiritual well being Buy the records you like, if you like them there's a chance that someone else will like them too, only buy originals and only pay what you can afford. Treat any appreciation in the value of a particular record as a bonus and don't get too concerned if the price of a particular record falls. Don't treat the buying of records as an investment opportunity, treat it as a hobby.
  25. I know someone who sells Northern Soul Accesories. He'd prefer not to shout about it though
