Ward Burton - Sweet Temptation Set Sale
Sorry Rod. I don't normally comment on sales, preferring to keep my nose out but having an interest in this record I wanted some background. Did'nt realise it should have been in LAYB. To be fair to the seller, he's just pm'd me with the background to his acquiring this record and it sounds kosher. Thanks to you too Hammy.

Ward Burton - Sweet Temptation Set Sale
This is a record I've always wanted. However, wasn't there a thread on here recently asking if some copies had surfaced. Also I'm sure a pal of mine who has had it years has a yellow copy. Any ideas?

Never Had It So Good
I'm afraid I'm with Pete. For me the acid test of a great record is can you sing along/whistle/remember the lyrics or tune, after the first hearing or two. I'm afraid so much of the stuff I hear on here fetching good money is nondescript at best. How many of today's records are instantaneous? But each to their own.

Tonite - Northern Soul Bbc Living For The Weekend
All the usual suspects/faces giving their opinions. Photographically, brilliant. Loads of great footage Manchester, Hose Street, back of chemists etc! Musically excellent. But as with Paul Mason's Culture show programme, the first half was so much better then the second. Once you've got past the musical beginnings and the inevitable Wigan footage, there's not much left. A programme about Northern's progression post '80 wouldn't have the same appeal to any members of the general public, who might have watched out of curiosity imo.

Thanks a lot Chalky. If I can't get it sorted myself I'll pm you, I only want a couple doing mate. No big rush either.

Album Track Carvers
I'm not really bothered Patto. I know I have the album, the guy who has booked me will know I have the album, and if anybody is that bothered, somehow, I'll prove I have the album. As I said in my original post, this is all about saving wear and tear on certain tracks and for my convenience.

Album Track Carvers
Thanks Dave, will have a look and probably give him a bell.

Album Track Carvers
Hi Chalky. Sounds far too technical for me mate! I can't even do soundclips on here lol! I know it sounds so old fashioned, but I would rather send the albums off with the tracks listed that I want and then wait for the postman.

Album Track Carvers
Not really mate. They used my body shot for the advert anyway!!

Album Track Carvers
Do any SS members out there know of someone who can transfer album tracks on to 7" acetates for me. Reason being I'm getting fed up with dragging albums all over the place for dj'ing and also giving certain tracks off a particular album, undue wear and tear. Some idea of price and sound quality would be helpful. And a contact phone number please. If you want to be discreet, it might be best to pm me. Thanks Dave
