What’s the most you’ve paid for a record
Did my research with the lovely Internet back in mid 9ts, bloke was a backing singer etc. Everything was mint, most of the tunes I dj'd with for years at 100 club and capitol soul club. Sold them on to the boys like butch, Dyson, mick h etc

What’s the most you’ve paid for a record
Sent a wants list off to a bloke who was a session musician back in 6ts in detroit. I thought i might get a few decent ric tic items etc. Ended up getting mint Gwen owens, camaros, Pat Lewis, buddy Smith, 6 copies of utopias and several other big ticket items. Sold them all years ago and made a decent profit. Those were the days alright. Greg

What's your favourite End of Night finisher
Capitol Soul Club always ended with Jimmy Ricks - Oh what a feeling- Festival. TUNE!!!!

Cecil Washington - Prophonics
Back in the early 9ts I got 5 copies from a dealer in the detroit area. I moved all the copies to various dealers/ djs in london. I do know the guy I got them from had many more as he started listing them in discoveries record mag. How many he had is unknown but I wasn't the only dj he was selling them too. Glorious days indeed . Greg

I do know the record was played out well before The Capitol Soul Club days ( 9TS) Who was the first dj? I'm not exactly sure, but it was later to be reactivated by Flynny at the Capitol and hence become a BIG serious tune to the masses. Thanks Greg

Unreleased Stuff... Eddie Holman, Judy Freeman
hi Russ, haha don't we all wish we kept certain records. I made dubs for mike and robbo years ago. Never been one of those djs who withhold tunes. Recently Ady has cut himself a dub to play at 100club etc. Glad to see people still hold the extended version in high regard. cheers russ Greg

Unreleased Stuff... Eddie Holman, Judy Freeman
Ady has contacted RCA and they have no clue about the test pressing and extended version. Ady and I wanted it to be a special release on Kent this year but RCA say they have no record of the extended track. So sorry people no future release. Cheers Chaps Greg

He found the shrine 45's in a cabinet at the back of book shop while in looking for a book to read for the flight home. Seem to remember one of cairos was cracked the good one went to gary spencer. Those were the days alright!

News: The Greatest Record Finds Of All Time 2008
Great stories and i got a few myself but i'll be a bit more upto date. What you got through the computer :-) records wise lol. About 12 years ago i was sitting at work and bored sh*tless, i decided to search a few writers/artists names on google and see what i find. After about an hour i tracked a backing singer of a certain detroit 6ts soul act, sent an email and over the next few weeks of banter i secured the following. Utopias (5 copies), Camero's, Gwen Owens (wanted and needed), Pat lewis (no one to love), Magictones (solid hit missing number) etc. Its was unreal but deffo my greatest hit and i didn't even have to leave my desk lol. Happy days indeed. Greg
