  5. Misguided, naive or conned, defo conned and if I was the buyer I would be asking for a refund as it is an obvious BOOT and the seller listed it as an original, how can these ebay sellers get away with it? lack of knowledge or out and out conman? slightly off topic but the same applies to people selling vinyl carvers of rare original records they are just taking the piss and should be banned from ebay but there is also some gullible fools who will buy them.. Rant Over Steve

The Four Sonics Plus One, the plus one is actually Lorraine Chandler released on Sepia, but also Lorraine did a version of this song on her own which IMO is far superior and a bit more expensive, released on the local Giant label and also got a mainstream release on RCA its the "B" side to What Can I Do.. Steve

  8. Should be fookin arrested never mind banned from ebay, in my book anybody could do this all you need is the mp3, blatant bootlegging, I personally wont have the neck to do it even if I was desperate for money, too much respect for our scene Steve
  9. Hi John, how you doing? Fook me Exit 21 Soul Club now that is a blast from the past I think it ran from 75 to 78, originaly at Milnrow Con Club then moved in 76/77 to the Kingsway Hotel,John Grant used to run that until he started to get all funky!! My brother Philip used to go to school with Chris and both have passed away and your right Chris did have a spell in the army proper hard bastard , me and Dave Sulcas used to run Thursday nights at Dunphys on Drake street mid eighties, all the best John Sorry for going off topic im sure this thread was about Coronation Street Ste Henderson
  10. Not on about Chambers Salmon( Chambers was underneath the town hall and circa 73 was used as a soul/ska venue, it was stopped being used as there was only one entrance/exit health and safety problems, no alchohol, its currently being used for storage.) I was talking about the main hall, huge dance floor, very ornate with stained glass windows and old oil paintings everywhere, if memory serves me right we had a few soul nights there cant remember off the top of my head who promoted it I think it was John Grant early eighties, Does anybody else on here remember it Col Taylor perhaps, I remember going with Chris Barker R.I.P but senile dementia has set in Steve
  11. We used to have Soul nites at Rochdale Town Hall many moons ago a fantatic venue steeped in history, it was rumoured that one Adolf Hitler wanted to take it down brick by brick and take it to Germany!( that was if he won the war ) It is still used for functions and has a fantastic maple dance floor..
