  1. I actually think this version is excellent as Towanda has an excellent voice But what a dire recording to vinyl, what a let down
  2. "Chambers" Rochdale Town Hall as it says it was the chambers underneath the town hall. It ran from early to mid seventies playing soul and ska, it closed down for health and safety reasons only one entrance/exit, it was my introduction to soul music, fantastic venue but would only serve soft drinks. I am sure somebody on here can give more detail I only went about 3 occasions ( i was only 13 at the time and you had to be 16 to get in, i just hung on to my older sisters coat tails! ) . this area in the town hall from what i can gather is now just used for storage, but it was the most perfect umderground venue. Steve

  14. So much fuss for an average record at best imo Steve
  15. I agree Pete, but my point is some sellers insist on you paying for insured postage, but it does not apply if it comes from the US, so why do they have to put on the customs form the true value it does not make sense, if I buy anything of value over £35 I make a point of contacting the seller now so this does not happen..
  16. Have you been stung Steve? its happened to me a few times US dealers putting the true value of the record on the customs form, mind you the PO takes its fair wack as well If you bought it off Ebay let the seller know what a cnut he is and the cost to you... Steve
  17. I Knew Ebay would not pull the plug, there not ar*ed unless it affects them, or unless someone thretens to sue etc... Steve
