  2. £5 is what i paid for this funk oldie spot on
  3. I think this is the kind of thing t most old soulies dont like, but i dont care , its 100% funk, and ive played it out recently at eb and got people dancing to it, for me its a dancer, no soul content, but hey ho and i understand a lot on hear wouldnt want to hear it, https://youtu.be/tdLWp75ow1Q
  4. Well, if Delegates Of Soul - I'll come running back, isnt funky soul, im at a loss
  5. Top notch mix of choons by all involved....superb

  7. Well the youngsters seem to like this sort of stuff Russ, that should tell you a thing or two
  8. It does have a place in the right venue and with the right people, put it in the wrong place with the wrong people and it doesn't
  9. Got a nice pink demo i might be willing to trade, i will send a pm for what im looking for regards Tim
  10. I just wish there was some authority that would turn up to an event or 2000 and stop it in mid flow, because of the using of illegal bootlegs and conning the paying public, charging them £5+ to listen to the sub standard shite, i can only but dream. As in answer to the question above... the reson there is no diversity, is because most of the top dj's play out almost every wk, here there and everywhere, not loyal to any one particular club imho
  11. Alfie always has some top northern djs playing at his venues over there
  12. Tim Smithers replied to a post in a topic in Record Wants
  13. To be fair to Rod, he only listed the records that the djs gave him, i myself played at least 6 or 7 cover ups amongst others that are only known by a very few, ie little tiger etc, think most djs also played quite a few with funny labels on lol, so you cant really get a true reflection, unless you went of course, but as non of you did lol, its hard to give a true comment
  14. Most promoters who allow bootlegs are also djs that cant get spots because of playing bootlegs, chicken and the egg
  15. Whats the latest? see 4 promoters looking like they are going to get things moving, what about the other 10 ?
  16. If i didnt already have the billy wells and e j and the echoes Bob i would snap your arm of, way to cheap
  17. Good to see things rolling you know it makes sense
  18. i think peope prefere to read them rather than write them, we have had 100 hits a day on the soul in the south niter playlists, pitty we couldn.t get them in the venue
  19. Thanks for the input so far guys and girls
  20. Djs / promotors must have there reasons for not putting up playlists, be intrested in some of the reasons why, with lots of venues struggling at the mo, i would have thought there would be a few more up considering how many do's there on each wk
  21. Over a 100 views with no playlist, cant be bad lol Here is a sample of what i played on the night Sweet Bobby & Honey Boys / Watch the one who's talking Ron Buford / Deep Soul Pt 2 House Guests / My mind set me free Little Tiger / The funky fight Harvey Scales / I wanna do it Marcus Kelly / Pushing to the top Chymes / Ive lost Grey imprint / Do you get the message Foxy / clark bridges Paul Sindab / You dropped your candy in the sand West coast Distributers / Girl i love you Teriffics / Leave us alone
  22. Southampton alldayer was busy about 250 i would say, despite a soul nite on the night before, which would have affected the numbers coming from Bmth, lots of traverlers, quite a few missing local promotors, hey ho, nothing new there , overall a good day out for everyone i would say
