Mr M's Wigan
Bit of a shit hole but oozed atmosphere. Missing some of the best records played at The Casino but more often missing a lot of the worst records played at The Casino and despite what the Casinophiles might say, there were a lot. It was a Marmite Room.

I'll give you £200 Lol !! Sell it via Manships Auction, probably get £2,000- John Manship Auction Results 19-6-2013
Othello Robinson, lovely track. Followed by Ward Burton ( or visa versa ) would flow nicely.- 1980's Northern Low Point
They push them for when recorded as opposed to when first played and so sort of get away with it. Sam Dees first played 82ish but recorded 68/69 Depends which side of the Played/Recorded fence you sit. I know Mello Souls was a floor mover but Never Ever For Me. Bit like The Majestics, always fills a floor but I can't see it myself. Each to their own I suppose.- 1980's Northern Low Point
I remember it well. And yes, Dance Dance Dance played more than 10 times at Prestatyn. I don't like the Mello Souls (Del Larks). Had to push them I understand- Richard Temple & Revolution Of St. Vincent

Mello Souls - twice. How unfortunate.- 1980's Northern Low Point
Took some friends for their first venture into Northern Soul ( in the 80's sometime ). Told them that the venues are really friendly and there's never any trouble. Decided to go to a do in Worksop ( not the Town Hall ) Mass fight broke out, the night had to be abandoned and it was never run there again. They decided not to go to any more Northern do's !!- J.j. Caillier - Pusherman
Love Pusherman. Play it quite often and get asked about it all the time. Anyone checking this out, £200 - nothing these days for a quality track like that- Monday Picks
Give it a look - All quality tracks- Monday Picks

Its a really strange concept to me that people can dance to records they don't know. You have no idea where and when the breaks will occur or any little nuances that may be written in. Unless of course the music you are dancing to is that predictable as it follows 'the pattern'. Can you imagine dancing to The Crow - Your Autumn Of Tomorrow having never heard it ? I am all in favour of hearing new stuff but its the genre of Music that I have a penchant for. New older stuff ( new to me that is ) but not Funk, heavy R&B, Ska and deffo not Latin. We are approaching Spaghetti Junction and there are numerous roads you could take. Take the brand new Super Highway if you want to, I'm happy with my little B Road into the Old Town.- Where Next "musically"?
Hi Joko, we could be going round in circles here. Never said you said etc etc etc. It changed/split in 74 with The Carstaires and the like, didn't say it died. Evolving in inverted comma's, play something different - Not obscure but not aired too much. Didn't tell people to leave the scene just to leave me alone and to my own likes and dislikes. I have confidence in my English and its grasp. I think we will have to agree to disagree on this mate. No malice intended.- Where Next "musically"?
and wasn't it 16.000 Kgs ?- Where Next "musically"?
I tire of uptempo Northern Soul. In the early/mid 70's we had a plethora of mid Tempo stuff that was probably the norm Mel Britt, Eddie Foster, Maurice Chestnut, The Idle Few, Moses Smith, Mt Popcorn Wylie, The Del Larks - Duracell Monkey time !! We seem to have been overrun by the 100mph brigade. Mid Tempo not Soulful ? Is The Champion more Soulful than Rosemary, Little Queenie than Girl Across The Street. also, i'm too bloody old for all that !!- Longest Aritist Name Printed On A Label
Artists Why didn't someone say ! Just sort of happened, soz mate.- Longest Aritist Name Printed On A Label

Tyrannosaurs Rex 1968 Debut Album - My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows Close but no cigar !- Where Next "musically"?
100% The 'Young Souls' ( please add to the Shudder List ) attend events and have a passion for the music. The problem is they attend in dribs and drabs and not as an army.. When we Die, NS as we know it will Die with us. There may well be an odd club or revival night but as a Nationwide sustainable scene ? I believe it will be another page in the History Books. There will probably be valiant efforts to keep it going but not Coke-A-Cola. - Buying Price Please
