  1. On the screen shot, it looks like you're NOT "signed in" on eBay. If you sign in and then check again, there may be more to see. Perhaps look in your "recent bids" and on the "watch list" for items which have ended. Also, (not sure if it makes a difference but) sign in and check on both ebay.co.uk AND ebay.com . No idea if that will help but Good luck!
  2. https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=derek%20and%20ray%20interplay&sortord=dprice&pagenum=1&incldescr=&layout=&sprice=&eprice=&endfrom=&endthru=&bidsfrom=&bidsthru=&currsel=&flabel=&fcatno=&ovrsug= It looks like there' been 2 sales recorded on Popsike. £250 in 2015 and £121 in 2012. Must be rare, but perhaps held back as it doesn't "fit" current tastes. However, there are plenty of folks who collect Black RCA issues. I'd buy it!!
  3. Also, Joe Dunlop has a couple of Test Press records on his site. Darrell Banks - Open The Door - Stateside is one that comes to mind. Also, I've seen a Bobby Sheen - Dr Love Test Press and Chubby Checker - Just Don't Know, test press. Just White Labels
  4. Hi, The Temptations record you mentioned is mine. It isn't very exciting I'm afraid - just White Labels with someone's handwriting. See below...
  5. I've been told that Paul's funeral will be 3pm Monday 13th October 2025 at Bushbury Crem, West Chapel. There will be a wake at the Ashmore Pub, Griffiths Drive, Ashmore Park, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton.
  6. It would be interesting to see how they react when one of the more spikey members post a reply which tells them they are talking out of their "A.I. hole"!!
  7. I learned about this earlier in the week. However, as nothing has been posted yet, I thought I should. I understand that there are a number of Facebook messages, however, there are a many folks, including me, who are not on Facebook, and may not be aware. Paul Harpin, aka Harpo, has sadly passed on. He was 66 years old with the verve and enthusiasm of a 16 year old! When we met at Bilston late last year, he told us of a number of health issues. Paul was the one who got me into in the whole Northern Soul thing. This was in about 1976, when we were both at school. However, he had been into it for a while before. From 1977 on, there were regular outings to all-nighters and all-dayers, places such as Wigan, Yate, Redditch, Locarno and others. Over a period of 4/5 years, we had a number of “adventures” and “misadventures”! It would be easy to write a long post recounting some of these. However, those of you that knew him will no doubt have similar memories. He was always very good company, an excellent DJ who always entertained, and had great taste in music. At the time of the Cavendish Suite in Wolverhampton, he could put together an amazing playlist that would stand up today. His Soul Source photo albums include pictures that sum him up and worth a quick look. Condolences to Sandy and his other family members R.I.P Harpo. @harpo1
  8. I think he's a Brit living in Germany. Seemed to have some nice records he was selling from his collection.
  9. Hi @Mike , Has something happened to the "Activity" icon? It was on the right-hand side of the blue bar when you first open Soul Source in a new tab. There's now an "Activity" tab on the top grey bar along with Home, Forum, Market, Events, Magazine, etc... However, tapping this give a drop down menu with various options. Thought I'd mention it, just in case. I'm using a Laptop and Chrome. Cheers, Kev Bod
  10. Hi, I'm still looking for: - Major Lance - Monkey Time - Columbia DEMO. I have posted this previously but thought a new thread may get more attention than another post in an old thread. Please get in touch if you have one for sale. I would prefer a nice clean copy with the center still in place Thanks
  11. I'd never noticed before, but checking on eBay, there seem to be Grapevine ISSUES with "HIM" and "IT" and the DEMO'S have "IT". Also, the ones with "HIM" credit "Chappell & Co" under the writer credits. The "IT" versions, Demo and Issue, credit "Jason Sean Music". The original has "Jason Sean Music". A bit odd!! P.S. - I've just found an eBay listing I printed out from 2006 which has "HIM". I did this when I was finishing off the full set.
  12. Hi Mal and Mick, I'd missed this topic when posted but I'm really glad Mick replied so that I noticed it now. "I Would Die" backing track sounds like a faster version of the "Soulnotes" - "How Long Will It Last". Well to me anyway! I've also placed an order. Thanks to both of you. Kev Bod
  13. "The Tower of Power"
  14. I don't think that these have been mentioned yet..... The Patrick Bradley - Just One More Chance (Obviously the Instr NOT vocal) Family Affair - Love Hussle (a Tony Hatch special!) Family Affair was MASSIVE! As has been mentioned previously, tastes and times have changed. As they say "you had to be there" to experience the atmosphere.
  15. A few suggestions.... The Righteous Brothers Band - Rat Race Derek & Ray - Interplay Hank Jacobs - Elijah Rockin With Soul Grand Piano Company - Esperanto The Dogs - Soul Step Harry Betts - Theme from the fantastic flying machine Harley Hatcher - Soul Hustler There's loads of potentials...... (A number of the above have fallen out of favour with current tastes!!)
  16. After a quick check, it looks like there is a 7". On Discogs for $5 but not available to the UK. https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/11668696 Also on the CD - Adventures in Babysitting. Can't see any others, but, I only had a brief look Hope that helps
  17. I always like reading what dealers like Tim and John include in there auctions.
  18. Still looking for: - Major Lance - Monkey Time - Columbia DEMO. Thanks
  19. Hi, I've just played "My Tune" by the Happy Cats. It's like a really crappy version of Bella Dalena by the Marketts. This will remain the one and only time I play it!
  20. Carol Anderson - Sad Girl. Both the FEE original and Grapevine single were released in 1979. So.......... no idea !!! Flaming Emeralds FEE original released just a year before Grapevine.
  21. Also on BRAZILLIAN STAX!!
  22. I've got the Demo and the dirty looking gold issue. Both have Machine Stamped numbers with another small letter almost opposite. The stamps are in slightly different places in relation to each disc and the run-out grooves. No idea if the "dirty gold" one is an official re-issue, like those small 45 OKEH's, or original. With regard to sound quality, I have other original records which are muffled sound.
  23. Still looking for: - Major Lance - Monkey Time - Columbia DEMO. Thanks
  24. This UK album from 1969 is a near miss for Willie K and the Exciters! "Just A Little Bit Of Soul"
