The Reflections - (Just Like) Romeo & Juliet Lana First US Release
The Reflections on Crossroads were a different group. The Reflections did have two prior releases prior to "...Romeo and Juliet"- "In The Still Of The Night" on Tigre and "Helpless" on Kay-Ko.

The Reflections - (Just Like) Romeo & Juliet Lana First US Release
You're right- they took the writing credits from the B side ("Can't You Tell By The Look In My Eyes") and used them for "(Just Like) Romeo & Juliet".

The Reflections - (Just Like) Romeo & Juliet Lana First US Release
The Lana release is definitely a reissue. Someone must have made a mistake with the songwriter credits. It wouldn't be the first time.

"so fine"
There's also a version by Ike and Tina Turner on Innis.

Eddie Sullivan R.I.P.
Sad to hear about this- Eddie did a lot of work in the late 60's/ early 70's with mostly female artists (Diane Cunningham, The Lovelites, Sunday Williams, Candace Love and of course the Classic Sullivans) and left us with some great 45's .

When did the term SOUL music first appear?
The term "Soul" was in common usage before 1963. Here's some of the liner notes from the 1961(?) album "The Soul Of Ike and Tina Turner". "Soul in the past few years has become a very successful commercial term, more often than not, it is just a commercial term". I think it would be almost impossible to find the 1st usage of "Soul" to describe the musical form.

When did the term SOUL music first appear?
Billboard may not have used the most accurate or up to date terms to describe their charts but, they were well aware of what was going on in Music. Here's the cover of a 90 page supplemental issue from June 24, 1967 -

PAUL WILLIAMS
The Temptations CD "You've Got To Earn It" has four fine performances from Paul - "I Can't Think Of A Thing At All", "I Now See You Clear Through My Tears", "Last One Out Is Brokenhearted" and "Forever In My Heart".

More today than yesterday - The Spiral Staircase
The single just missed the Pop Top 10( #12) in the U.S during the week of June 14, 1969 so I would guess May '69 would be more likely.

More today than yesterday - The Spiral Staircase
The Spiral Starecase's album was also titled More Today Than Yesterday".

Zodiac Company Sleeve ?
Someone in the U.S. made up company sleeves for a lot of the Doo Wop labels that were around in the 50's. Don't have one but will try to post a link if I can find them for sale. I know I've seen Parrot, Blue Lake, Chance etc.
-
Zodiac Company Sleeve ?
I live in the U.S. and have never seen that Zodiac sleeve, especially with a Ruby Andrews 45 in it.

7th AVENUE AVIATORS Congress US$2,424.00 ebay
I've seen copies with the star on the left side, and copies with the star on the right side, and even copies with stars on the left and right side of the title. I'm guessing it might have to do with different pressing plants ??

Rita wright
There was no legitimate release for this- there was a "pressing" made with J.J. Barnes "Everytime I See You I Go Wild" on the flip side though.

7th AVENUE AVIATORS Congress US$2,424.00 ebay
I was watching the 45 on e-bay- it started out as $9..99 and went to "buy it now for $700"- the seller forgot to get rid of the low opening bid sentence. Looks like someone got a deal !
