With a superb wooden talc friendly dance-floor and cheap bar, this is really an old school Northern venue with unbeatable atmosphere.

Sad News that Northern Soul at the Gas club is coming to an end,but great news that the guys are going again at a fantastic new venue.

Nice to be doing a spot at the last night and hope its well supported.ThroughoutThe fabulous Inner Soul events and the latest Gas Club nights this old atmosphere drenched place has played its part in the regions Northern Soul history and deserves a good send off.

Here we are the last night at the old gas club its a shame that this club is closing down.  Looking forward to a cracking last night here, we will be moving to a new venue at the Crookes club in April. Just like to thank everyone for supporting us last year, we have some fond memories and had some good times here, a big thank you to all involved. Hope to see you all on Saturday Lorraine. x :wink:

Well the very last soul night to be held at Malin Bridge Sports and Social Club aka The Gas Club. This little club had everything a good size wooden dance floor a stage a cheap bar and most of all a superb atmosphere. This club will be sadly missed, a big thanks to John Moffatt and Nigel Filmer without them I wouldn't have got it going again also a mention to Chris Brooke, Patto, Lorraine,  Barry Holland and Derek Greenhoff for Deejaying also not forget the most important of them all was the support of the soulies who came and enjoyed what was being played.

We are Glad to find another venue that's meets all the requirements needed for an outstanding soul night. 29th April will seem like ages to come but we all can`t wait to kick it off at our new home. After that it back on the fourth Saturday from then on in June to the rest of the year. Again a Big Thanks to everyone in supporting us. Dave

Not long to go till we head over to Sheffield for the last ever event at the old gas club had some great nites here at our favourite venue looking forward to another fantastic nite.c u lata.Debs n Dave.xx

What a fantastic last night at the old Gas Club. It'll be a shame to see it go, but, let's face it, it was falling down round our ears. :-) If the turn-out and quality of music played are any sort of guide, then the new Gas Club Soul at Crookes Club is going to be stupendous. It's unfortunate there's going to be a couple of months gap, but that'll make it all the more worth waiting for. The people now running the club have put a tremendous amount of work in to revive this event and deserve all the support they get. Here's to you all guys, and see you at Crookes. :-)

What a brilliant night at the Gas club couldn't have wished for a better night, glad everyone enjoyed it. Just like to say a big thank you to all concerned and thanks Anita and Paul for sitting on the door. So until April 29th at Crookes hope to see all who supported us and attended lets make it another great soul night event.  Sad to see this little old club closing its doors had some most memorable times there so lets do it all again at the new venue.  Thanking you Lorraine xx

Just to second what lorraine says what a brill evening superb spots played by dave chris patto and lorraine its a sad farewell to the gas club but onwards and upwards to the crookes looking forward to april 29th ktf treetops

Well what a turn out to say goodbye to this little club. There was just enough room to move. Kicking off with Paul and then Lorraine taking it up till 9pm already the dance floor was filling up. Then myself carried on until Patto and later Chris had the floor well and truly packed. As for the last hour me , Patto and Chris finished off and we was wondering if we should go past 1am because the crowd didn't want it to finish. Everything went so right, it a pity we didn't write down our playlist what a belter it was. Again it was a team effort to keep this place going and again a massive thanks to Mr Moffatt who help so much in making these events happen. Onto Crookes with a great team and great music. Just like to say thankyou to everybody who has supported us. See you there. Dave
