New Book - Sawdust Caesars: Original Mod Voices

Sawdust Caesars: Original Mod Voices by Tony Beesley published by Days Like Tomorrow Books, price £19.99 plus P&P

Sawdust Caesars: Original Mod Voices, which has just been published is a new book about Mods. This time it utilises the words of people who were Mods back in the day, at the start of this youth movement, and following it through to the present day.

It sets the scene for the start of Mod back at the tail end of the 1950s with teenagers who were into Modern Jazz and were thus called Modernists. Quite a lot of the book focusses on the early and mid 60s which is right, that is what led to all that followed Modwise.

The book's a long read and I've only just got into it but already it's bringing back many memories that had lain dormant. It covers various areas of the UK, goes on to Skinheads and the Mod revival of the late 70s and as I've said about right through to now. There is a mention of Northern Soul, but it's about Mods not soulies, although the two can be the same. As well as the words of Mods there are loads of pictures.

A few years ago I wrote a short piece about the Scene club where I spent many a happy night and that has been included, although I have amended parts of it. There's even a couple of photos of me, but I look at them and ask myself where that bloke went. In fact a friend who used to attend nighters at the Scene with me didn't recognise me in the pictures, oh dear, have I really changed that much?

I'd recommend it to anyone who's interested in Mods and their history. It can be obtained from the author at this website:

Candi Staton - Uk Album Release and Event News

First Lady of Southern Soul, Candi Staton, who cut sixteen deep fried Billboard R&B chart hits in the early 1970s, will finally release her 27th album “Life Happens” in the UK on October 27th.

Teams Up With Jason Isbell, John Paul White and Fame Records Producer Rick Hall

It’s Candi’s third Americana/Roots oriented project since garnering unexpected attention in the genre with her 2006 acclaimed CD “His Hands”. The new collection pairs Staton with FAME Records producer Rick Hall (who produced her early `70s southern soul hits such as “Stand By Your Man” and “He Called Me Baby”) for the first time since 1974. “Being in the studio with Rick was like old times” says Staton who Hall recently inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.

With recent performances on Letterman and an upcoming UK tour including a main stage performance at Bestival, Staton shows no signs of letting up. Of course fans will be excited to hear some of Candi’s more famous numbers such as ‘Young Hearts Run Free’ but the tracks such as ‘Where I’m At’ and ‘Beware’ will have people dancing in no time.

https://soundcloud.com/candi-staton/i-aint-easy-to-love-final

The 15-track record opens with Hall’s funk-fueled country rocker “I Ain’t Easy to Love” that finds Staton performing with Jason Isbell (who scored a 2011 hit with his update of Staton’s obscure 1969 ditty “Heart on a String”) and John Paul White of The Civil Wars. “They were so much fun to work with” Staton adds. “I really love what they added to the song and they sing with a soulfulness beyond their ages.”

The concept album tells the story of a romance from its beautiful beginning to its bitter end. Hall produced the upbeat plea for “Commitment” and the heartbreaking “Never Even Had A Chance.” Staton’s London-based band PUSH produced the smoldering “Close to You” and the brassy “Where I’m At”. Staton’s son Marcus Williams, a drummer who’s toured with Peabo Bryson and Isaac Hayes, produced the remainder of the soul-stirring album.

The project comes on the heels of a revival of Staton’s music among a new generation of artists such as Isbell. Florence & The Machine enjoyed a Top Ten platinum smash with their cover of Staton’s “You Got the Love”. Other acts have sampled her sounds such as Christina Aguilera (“Here to Stay”) and One Eskimo (“Kandi” which hit #1 on Triple A chart in 2010).

Staton wrote and co-wrote nine of the tracks and they all mirror her own romantic ups and downs over the years. “I’ve had good times and bad times in my relationships” she says. “I’ve been cheated on, lied to and everything you can name but that’s life. That’s why I named the CD Life Happens because you don’t plan for these things. They just happen.”

New Album From Bloodstone - Fly Away !

After a few years away from the recording scene, the group have returned with a great new LP. Produced by hometown boy Crayge Lindesay, this is a nice return to the harmony laiden style of yester year, but with a contemporary twist, thanks to Crayge.

Formed in 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, the group was a high school doo-wop group called The Sinceres. In 1967-68 they were backed by and toured with a large Kansas City horn band known as the Smokin' Emeralds and performed their version of a Motown-style review which drew large crowds at a venue called the Place in the Westport district of KC. By 1971, the band consisted of Melvin Webb on drums, Roger Durham on percussion, Charles Love on guitar and vocals, Charles McCormick on bass, Harry Williams on percussion, and Willis Draffen on guitar.

After learning to play their respective musical instruments, moved to Los Angeles, California. After arriving in Los Angeles, the group met their prospective managers George Braunstein and Ron Hamady. They also replaced their drummer Melvin Webb with Eddie Summers, a resident of Los Angeles, California. The managers decided to change their name from The Sinceres to Bloodstone. Later the group traveled to London, England where they achieved a recording contract with Decca Records. The original members were Charles McCormick, Willis Draffen, Jr., Charles Love, Harry Williams, Roger Durham and Eddie Summers. The first album was entitled Bloodstone, whereas there were two singles released simultaneously called, "That's The Way We Make Our Music", and "Girl (You Look So Fine)", written and arranged by Eddie Summers the newest member. Their second album, Natural High reached the US R&B Top 10. The album was written by various members of the group Bloodstone, with their single "Natural High" reaching number 10 on the Pop chart. It received blanket airplay in Europe, particularly on Radio Luxembourg. It reached number 40 on the UK chart in August 1973 and was featured in the Decca "World Of Hits" series of compilation albums.

Bloodstone's other hits include, "Never Let You Go", "Outside Woman" and "My Little Lady". Bloodstone was instrumental in the "black rock" and funk movement of the 1970s, and even had a hand in the brown-eyed soul movement with some Latin music-tinged hits. Bloodstone performed with Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Elton John, and The Impressions. Their 1973 album Natural High, produced by Mike Vernon, sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the R.I.A.A. in July that year.[1] They achieved a moderate comeback in the early 1980s with McCormick replacement Ron Wilson. Their album We Go a Long Way Back (1982), whose title track reached the R&B chart Top 5, also produced a follow-up single "Go On and Cry" that reached number 18. The group continued to record into the mid 1980s. They continue to tour and perform to this day with original members Charles McCormick, Charles Love, Harry Williams and newer member Donald Brown. Bloodstone also starred in and wrote all the music for a film entitled Train Ride To Hollywood (1975).[2] Founding members Willis Draffen died on February 8, 2002 at the age of 56, and Charles Love died on 6 March 2014

Nana Love - Disco Documentary - Full Of Funk BBE

Out today from BBE Records a re-issue of this 1978 album
Artist: Nana Love
Title: Disco Documentary - Full Of Funk
Cd Cat Number BBE250ACD
Label BBE Records
Release Date 11 Aug '14

LP version also available

The story behind this ear treating release is below
BBE went on another crate-digging journey and found the original producer Reindorf Nana Oppong and the original master tapes were dusted off, transferred to digital. In the process of this, even un-released material was discovered on the tapes, which makes this a rather special package. “Nana Love - Disco Documentary Full Of Funk” is one special journey through Afro Disco & Boogie in the late 70s, and we at BBE can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!!!

Release blurb goes like this...
Though the iconic imagery of Disco feels distinctly tied to the United States, the style had a wide-reaching influence that made it’s way to Africa. While Africa was already no stranger to the pulsing rhythms of funk, Afro-beat, and highlife, the rise of disco added a slick sheen to the music, with musicians from all over the continent incorporating elements of the genre into their sounds. Would there ever have been a Studio 54 in Ghana in late 70s, these would have been the recordings that would have packed the dance floor with their deep root in Disco, Soul & Funk! An album recorded in the late 70s packed full of legendary musicians such as Harry Mosco and many more… to be re-discovered 35 years after it’s initial vinyl release as a private press.

A Disco Documentary Full Of Funk proves that it stands the test of time by sounding as fresh and original as any other sought-after Disco / Soul Funk LP from the West coast of Africa in the late 70s.

Sounds...
as before BBE website has full length clips to get your ears on - link to all further below

I Lived It All - Jimmy 100% Sterling

I Lived It All - Jimmy 100% Sterling - Cds Records - 1 Oct 2013

Album Details
"I Lived It All” is Sterling’s debut album. The album features 13 tracks ten of which are new tracks produced by Sir Jonathan Burton including the show stopping ballad “I’m The One That Should’ve Been”, the retro mid-tempo R & B of “Never Gonna Give You Up”, and also the up- tempo title track, “I Lived It All”. Jimmy 100% Sterling is one hundred percent Southern Soul meets Motown!

Background
Jimmy 100% Sterling’s career started as a backup drummer for a variety of local groups around the inner-city and suburbs of Detroit. He even performed with Motown’s Edwin Starr and Jimmy Ruffin at a very young age. This gave Sterling the opportunity to meet his musical idol David Ruffin who greatly influenced his vocal style “I Lived It All” features two Sterling covers of David Ruffin’s (“Heavy Love” and “Statue Of A Fool”).

Jimmy later met the late great General Johnson and for six years recorded and toured with Chairmen Of The Board as a backup drummer/vocalist on the Carolina beach music circuit.

Danny Woods and General Johnson with Jimmy on drums.

After an offer from CDS Records based on the strength of his signature song, “At Least I Tried” (the 45 was a collector’s item ever since its mid 90’s release on Ameri-Com Records) he parted with Chairmen Of The Board to pursue a career as a solo artist

The Summer Competition Series Continues
On offer to all you members is a recent release from Kent Records
Titled the Hall Of Fame Volume 3 - this cd was released earlier this year as part of a prolific still running series of Fame Record related releases.
Some words from Tony Rounce via the Ace website offer a good idea on what this cd is all about
'The previous two volumes of the series presented a cross-section of exceptional, and mostly unissued, material from the vaults of Fame studios from the prime years of Rick Hall’s funky building on Avalon Avenue in Muscle Shoals.
A sizeable portion of the tracks featured here only came to light during our ongoing research. Most of the artists have appeared previously in our series and will need no further introduction, but it’s a pleasure to be able to add to their number by bringing you thrilling selections from Herman Moore, Billy & Clyde, Dan Brantley and Roy Lee Johnson'

Henry Stone - Dead at 93 RIP

From the news report on Miami New Times...

RIP Henry Stone, King of Independent Records, Dead at 93

Henry Stone, king of the record business, passed away peacefully early August 8, 2014, in Miami.
Throughout almost 80 years of wildly prolific musical activity, the 93-year-old had a hand in every aspect of the music business and was a true pioneer of independent manufacturing, promotion, and distribution.

In the 1970s he ran the biggest independent record company in the world, TK Productions, responsible for the world's first global disco hit, George McCrae's genre defining "Rock Your Baby," penned by the leaders of his biggest act ever, KC & the Sunshine Band. And lest anyone say otherwise, he made many artists very rich, always paid what he owed, and is held in high esteem by 90% of everybody who ever worked with him.

http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/crossfade/2014/08/rip_henry_stone_king_of_independent_records_dead_at_93.php

A clip from The Legend of Henry Stone

... he’s referring to included Willie Clarke, Betty Wright, and Clarence Reid. They, along with the session musicians ultimately joined Stone in 1968 and immediately began putting out hit songs. Betty Wright’s “Girls Can’t Do What the Guys Do” was #1 on the local R&B station in July 1968, and reached #33 on Billboard’s National Top 40.

In 1969, Stone combined all the music and business talent under one commercial roof, TK Productions. He started labels such as TK Records and others that from 1971 — 1979 produced R&B and Pop Chart hits the world over.

The Miami soul sound had its first breakout hit in 1971 with Clean Up Woman by Betty Wright. Written by locals Clarence Reid and Willie Clarke, with guitar licks provided by bluesman Willie “Little Beaver” Hale...

Wirrina Reunion 2014 - Letter of thanks

Had the below passed on from Paul Donnelly (profile)
A letter of thanks after a donation of funds raised via the just gone Wirrina Reunion 2014
Hats off to all involved in making this donation happen.

Dear Mr Donnelly,
Thank you so much for the kind donation of £800 which you made over the phone to my colleague Matt earlier today. Your gift will help us in our work with deafblind people throughout the UK.
Sense works with deafblind people and their families, right from the moment they find out their baby son or daughter is deafblind, it can be a very scary time for parents, we are there to explain their child’s condition, and what they can do next. As Helen, whose son William is deafblind says ‘Sense had the knowledge that nobody else had. They enabled us to understand our son, to know how to better communicate with him. That means so much — Thank you.’
We couldn’t help families like Helen and William without the kind support of donors like yourself — thank you.
If you have any further questions, or would like to learn more about Sense please do let me know.

Kind Regards,
Ellie Houlihan

Lenny Curtis - Radio Interview This Saturday

A upcoming interview airs this Saturday on Signal 2 - Jimmy Mack Harrison aka Lenny Curtis
Info:
Jimmy Mack Harrison was born in South Carolina and the brother of late 50's Hitmaker Wilbert Harrison.
As a young musician he played on Wil's big hit Kansas City among others before recording himself on the New York based Clock label.
During the 1964/65 period he recorded with brother Bob as the Harrison Brothers signing to Emit, Everlast, ABC, Bobalou.....with the excellent Run For Your Life and Pearltone.
http://youtu.be/jwqbxk1ZK9E

In 1965 he met Robert Bateman who brought the Funk Brothers from Detroit to Columbia studios in New York and recorded Jimmy (as Lenny Curtis) on 'Nothing Can Help You Now' which Roulette's subsidiary End released. Bateman and Harrison had originally met at Motown where the paid worked behind the scenes on various studio projects.

Following the flopped 45 Jimmy joined the Fabulous Fiestas who off the back of their earlier hit 'So Fine' got a recording deal with RCA.
Moving out of New York, Jimmy continued to perform solo in the Carolina's before meeting his wife Darlene. Together they perform throughout the region with a classic Soul/R&B.
Jimmy speaks fondly of his more famous brother and his time in the record business.
More importantly he's thrilled that his End masterpiece has a fan base some 3,500 miles away from his roots. He hopes to come over to the UK soon, hopefully clutching a copy of two of the £800 rated rarity.

Wow! Great find Kev, who'd have thought he was on Run For Your Life as well. Amazing.
Don't see a mention of it here, but I think he's also Geronimo and the Apaches on Galiko. Certainly sounds like him, as he has a very distinctive voice. Will have to listen to the Harrison Brothers records again, as the vocals on those never struck me as being similar to Lenny Curtis on End.

Thats consistent with the Discogs page, although I appreciate this is not always correct. It has them recording together as early as 1960 and LC as early as 1959 solo. It has the Bob Harrison as the artist that recorded on Turntable as Bobby Harris. Sure Lenny will be able to verify.
This CD would suggest that the Bob is actually Bobby Harris of Turntable etc. Both snippets seem to be confirmed by the excellent Sir Shambling website, although this says the single above isn'tJimmy/Lenny. Would be great to get all this clarified and documented first hand.

I think if you really want to 'get Googling' you will find out all you need on the Harrison Bros.
At least I found him and discovered more about his anthem 'Nothing Can Help You Now' which is mainly what most want to know about.
I will ask him if he cares to join in discussions on the forum.
I am friends with Jimmy and Darlene. They are friends with Danny Woods and Maurice Williams. Darlene is the sister of one of the Tams. I have their latest album. Lovely people!!
I've been speaking to him for a while now he's on facebook, he'd love to come over here I asked a promoter but nothing came of it. Maybe now it will
PS yes he is Geronimo from Geronimo and the Apaches too

Soul Source Video Feature Returns

Long time members may recall that since the early days of Soul Source (thats back in the late 1990s) soul video has played a major part in the make up of Soul Source.

Though as the last couple of years has seen a bit of a dip on the video side of things here on Soul Source, am now pleased to announce the return of the Soul Source Video feature.

It's a feature where members can both quickly view and easily share soul related videos sourced from a wide variety of third party sources.

Can share third party sources such as videos from Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook Video, Vine Video, TwitchTV & JustinTV

It can be a simple 5 second affair to add a third party video...
Just hit the "add video" button - paste the link - choose the category - bang the "add video" submit - thats it!
(though ensure the url is along the lines of the forum submits )
Or you can take your time and add a full descriptive title along with your own description/background etc

Currently approx 150 videos up from the last 3 years or so, various cats set up to make viewing and sharing quick and easy.
Ongoing improvements and tweaks on all aspects, so do feel free to shout up any suggestions

That's about it, its back and you just need to get to here to view, post, share, rate, comment etc etc

Biologia - Nite Lite / Too Bad - Cherries Records - Out Now

A morning stroll on fleamarketfunk.com led to this recent release...

The blurb from the menu...

With their premier Cherries release, Biología brings two four-on-the-floor jams, created within the musical minds of this brother & sister led band. The A-side ‘Nite Lite’, is a bassline driven night groove, with the gospel style harmonies of Mama Kat, sung over the magical guitar licks of Jomeo. ‘Too Bad”, the uptempo B-side, has you struttin’ away from that no-good lover, with swelling synth lines and pianos, double-time hand claps, and slick, funky guitar. Recorded direct to tape in two short sessions, a glimpse into their raw and powerful live show is now captured on vinyl.

The dish itself...

https://soundcloud.com/cherries-records/ch-008-nite-lite-by-biolog-a

https://soundcloud.com/cherries-records/ch-008-too-bad-by-biologia-snippet

available on 7 vinyl here @ $7.99

though uk shipping is $13!

disappointing for some I guess but the mp3 for 1 buck may be an option

George Grant - Got To Get My Mind Right - Album Release

George Grant dropped by the other day and passed on news of his recent album release to Soul Source

'My old school Soul CD "Got To Get My Mind Right" debuted for sale on July 1 2014. .. My music has been described as Motown meets Stax with a dash of 70's AM pop. I'll take that !'

The blurb below tells you all the publicity stuff which does seem to tick all the boxes, but as with most stuff its better to get your ears on and a easy way to do this is via amazon uk site, where can preview all tracks with minimum fuss

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LJBJM6C/ref=dm_ws_sp_ps_dp

Hailing From New York City via Pittsburgh PA, George Grant has infused the soul, rock and pop music of his youth into a bombastic sonic array. Growing up in a household where one could hear Steve Wonder or Jackie Wilson as readily as Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, he honed his musical skills supplied by the best of three musical worlds - rock, soul and a solid foundation of pop AM radio. A veteran of the new york rock scene (as both a bassist and vocalist), George has now channeled these earliest roots into a rousing and sometimes heartbreaking new collection of original songs. Rooted in the sounds of Memphis, Motown and even Cincinnati, his music brings to mind an A to Z of old school soul music, from The Temptations to Otis Redding to Curtis Mayfield without skipping a beat - literally. Fans of newer soul acts such as Charles Bradley and Eli “Paperboy Reid” will also find this a very pleasing collection of finely crafted rocking soul/classic RB/pop material.

Brought to you by the Putnam Valley Recording Company - purveyors of fine Old School Soul and Retro Country recordings.

Available via all the usual suspects

Lowton returns on Friday August 8th 2014

Lowton is Back, Bigger and Better!

Friday August 8th sees the return of the popular Lowton Civic Hall soul nights after the Summer break.

Lowton has remained one of the most popular Northern Soul nights on the soul calendar and many soulies have been looking forward to its return since the last event in April. The night is coming back bigger and better with a second room dedicated to the very popular 70’s soul revival happening in the North West at the moment.

The additional room is being promoted in conjunction with the re-launch of LOVE MUSIC REVIEW magazine, which ran from 1995 to around 2000 and was dedicated to the more Modern side of the scene and the emerging Crossover Soul scene in the North West. Those attending the night can expect a blend of soulful 70’s anthems, eclectic 80’s selections and choice late 60’s Crossover tunes. DJ’s on the night will include LOVE MUSIC REVIEW main man Andy Love together with Leyland’s, ‘So Soulful 70’s’, Steve Plumb plus soul connoisseur Roger Williams together with Lowton residents Baz Maleady and Bob Hinsley

The main room at Lowton continues to feature a varied selection of the best classic Northern Soul oldies as well as the big reactivations on the scene today and showcasing some of the new spins breaking through. All of which keeps a growing and appreciative crowd very happy. DJ’s in the main room in August include Lowton favourite, Kev Murphy, local stalwarts Ian Cunliffe and Les Harrison, plus Bob Hinsley and special guest on the night is possibly the busiest and most popular DJ on the scene, Ginger Taylor.

To mark the occasion a complimentary CD will be available with a choice of main room Northern tunes or a Love Music Review preview people signing up for our regular e mail newsletter on the night will also a receive a copy.

Soul Sourcers who may like a copy of the CD and notifications regarding Love Music Revue can email andrew.love7@ntlworld.com (mailto:andrew.love7@ntlworld.com)

So, make a date in your diary and join us the gathering at Lowton Civic Hall on Friday August 8th for what promises to be a great soul night out!

Boogaloo's 14th Anniversary - London 2014

Ok, so a good night at Boogaloo on Saturday indeed, however after 14 years that doesn't really do it justice - I've been attending Boogaloo as a regular for the last ten years and it's given me some good soul friends, (Kev Moore educating me over original vinyl, talking tunes and bullshit with Magoo, Steve Clegg, Little Ian, Taff, Ginny and many others), my first ever guest DJ spot, the privilege of DJ'ing with top DJ's - Ady Croasdale, Jo Wallace, Chris Dale and the Boogalo...o residents, it's lead me onto the Kent Soul Club, Solid Hit Soul and many other do's and adventures in Northern Soul.

I've had some brilliant nights here and very few poor ones and never felt let down by Warren, Steve and Little Ian or the crowd in there.

I've opened the club for Warren and even closed it for him when he left for the 100 club and had great fun doing it.

Boogaloo has been around for so long, it seems fair game for people clashing their events with it, the 'we won't go this time it will be on again' attitude or 'let's try something new' but has kept going and in my mind, actually got better.

So a big thank you from me to Warren and Karen and fair play to you guys for keeping this going for all these years and putting something back into this world of ours. Long may it continue.

If you've not been for a while or indeed, never been, make the effort as this sort of night is what keeps the scene going.'

Nice write up Dave, the 14th anny was indeed good fun. As you mention, it was unfortunate that other events clashed with the anniversary.

A good turn out nonetheless and the seasonal appearance of Dave Greenhill's knees confirmed that summer had truly arrived.

Shame that it sounds like the venue won't be around much longer. It's a proper place. The cabaret on offer from the salubrious upper smoking terrace, which provides views into adjacent bathrooms and bedrooms is unique.

Hopefully Warren will retain his enthusiasm to find an other home for this long standing event on the London calendar.

Fingers crossed, he'll find somewhere with the quaint and authentic Dickensian dockland appeal of the King William, the previous venue. Black eyes, facial tattoos and knuckledusters - and that was just the barmaids.........

Take a bow Warren and Karen

Cheers for your comments Dave. I've had a hoot running the club over the last 14 years and always have run clubs with the mentality of 'I only do it because I enjoy doing it'. I've closed clubs down in the past when I've lost the enthusiasm and drive. Not the case with Boogaloosoul and love the fact that I've made some great mates, played some great records, loved some of those 'special moments' and because of this will do my best to keep the faith flowing for a few more years to come. Couldn't do it without those who've supported us for the last 14 years. Cheers Warren

Kent's Cellar Of Soul Volume 3 Competition

Summer Kent Cd Competition - Kent's Cellar Of Soul Volume 3 CD

The destined to fail attempt to run a regular once a week competition for all you soul source members continues, here we have...

A chance to win yourself a copy of this fine CD.

Released earlier this year the third in this series continues travelling a more classic than rare soul road.

Ace said about this...

We present for your delectation 26 mid to late 60s classic soul tracks, only six of which are currently on Ace CDs. Inevitably many are uptempo but the CD is designed to capture the spirit of 60s soul rather than its later UK dance-centric revision. Several were R&B hits and a few made the Pop Hot 100 too. Most were released in the UK, some on groovy little labels such as Action, Spark, Soul City, Direction, B&C and Pama. They were the type of records the pirate radio stations would plug from their off-shore floating studios. It was mod music in the sense of new, hip and in the groove, rather than of any elite, exclusive in-crowd. If it was groovy you bought it.

See more at: http://acerecords.co.uk/kents-cellar-of-soul-volume-3#sthash.M4THzGlQ.dpuf

While on Amazon a review by Mark Coyle went like this....

This is the singles release of these early soul seminal classics. I grew up in the Mod/soul scene hearing these songs in this way. This is one of the best series of reissue soul ever and although the emphasis isn't said to be on dance soul, much more than half of the tracks are Northern Soul classics from the pure soul part of the sound. Almost all these tracks don't have stereo mixes so this is as they were meant to be heard. Buy with confidence.
