BANBURY SOUL CLUB - FIRST EVENT OF 2018

Our 14th Anniversary in November 2017 was the last event at the General Foods Sports and Social Club.

Unrealistic and increasing hire charges and no willingness to do any bar price promotions  meant we were forced into a situation of moving yet again.

Maintaining the entrance fee at £5.00 has always been our primary objective.

It was either move or increase the door tax which none of us were happy to do.

So it's back to the Trades and Labour Club who, after a change in Committee ,approached the Soul Club asking us to return.

So their timing was impeccable.  

Hopefully this will be the very last time we have to move.

We hope you will all support us in this move we have been forced to make.

From January 2018 there will be four nights of Northern Soul and Motown promoted by Banbury Soul Club.

With a change of venue we are back to an across the board music policy.

Expect to hear sounds from the last 50 years covering all genres, tempos and styles.

Dance off the Christmas excesses and relive memories from all the classic venues long since gone.

For those that haven't been to the club before.

Free car parking right next door.

Well stocked bar at realistic Labour club prices.

And most importantly it has a wooden dance floor with a raised stage and the acoustics are brilliant.

Another plus is its all on ground floor level with no stairs to contend with.

Hopefully this will give you an idea of the layout and how it’s ideally suited for a night of soul music.

In summary this will genuinely be a “something for everyone” evening.

Charlie, Steve, Tom and Dave will be playing their own selections of danceable soul music to guarantee a brilliant night.

So make sure you come along and enjoy a superb night’s entertainment for only £5.
