Twisted Wheel Sunday Soul Session

So cant thank my wonderful friends at the Twisted Wheel enough. Sunday 8th December 2019, will stay with me forever. Happy birthday fellow celebraters. Shaun and company. Pete Jackie Roberts thanks you for the special Twisted Wheel tee shirt and for allowing me to play some tunes in both rooms. And lol Lending me a box of toons. 

As ever loved it! Ginger Taylor what can I say your presentation to me, your edification and oh my goodness putting on Hoagy Lands signed on Stateside demo, can it get any better, you serve the soul scene beyond the call of duty, always the Ambassador, even when you have your own challenges. I value your integrity, loyalty, friendship and mentorship and will never be able to thank you enough.

Your 2 sets as ever world class, not just the music but many holy grails. Of course as collectors we can get a bit perfectionist lol so if you just want to dance thats just as wonderful, but know you are getting the best! Pete, John and Jock blow me away everytime, total professionals, with the right toons, love watching them in action, their collections are mighty, 

So many friends from all over the country, Cambridge, Corby, Todmorden, Salford, Crewe, Stafford, Liverpool, Manchester, Tamworth, Derby, Sheffield, Leicester, Fred "BEE" from Wigan, just to name a few, even Italy! you folks are Twisted Wheel. The man with a big heart DJ, Promoter, body builder, male stripper, bouncer, Jimmy Temple, was there with his mates, massive thanks for your present Jimmy, bless you my friend x

Made my day seeing Nige Brown and Carms, gosh they is classy people! The mighty DJ/Promoter legend Pep was dancing away, and how did I miss mighty mentor and legend, John Stackhouse! 

Just wonderful to have wonderful friends from Cambridge Kevin and Marsha Wood and a double bonus with Norman and Babs, Norman of course signing his wonderful book. Andy Scoffin and mates you folks rock, Andy could DJ anywhere but his mcing for Crewe A takes him all over.

Loads of cards presents friendship and love. Friendship, love and the music is Twisted Wheel, its the people, analyse it all you want, but the fruit is there for all to see, a cellar with 350 plus people, playing its music to packed floors. 2 rooms, one with the classics, the other ultra rare, new, some classics, everything folks want.

Pete Roberts, like all great dreamers, a total winner, amazing charisma, fantastic DJ and Promoter. These Sunday and other TW events are world class, no doubt, thanks Pete a 65th I shall never forget, you make me feel so good, special, the only time you ever look down at people is when you help them up, may we all go on for at least another 30 years, I know the Wheel will, its name, its people, its vibe, music is impossible to disappear, looh forward to me 70th happy Christmas and a fantastic 2020 is a done deal when it comes to the Wheel.

What a session 

The Twisted Wheel is always packed to the rafters but yesterday was exceptional

Fantastic sets from Ginger and Pete and his team. All topped off by the irrepressible Derek Smiley, on a flying visit to the Twisted Wheel for his Birthday, who also treated us to a superb impromptu set.

Regulars know the TW can't be beaten and if you're reading this and haven't been, all I can say come on down. You won't regret it and that's for sure.
