Jasonsaxo 197 Posted July 17, 2016 Looking forward to this. It's going to busy, especially for me lol - playing bass and then deejaying. Bring it on! 1 Link to comment
Andybellwood 1,803 Posted July 17, 2016 (edited) Looks like being a unique 3 room event . Have already caught the 5:15s live . Great musicians and live performers , really looking the part in sharp mod suits and tunes to match . They recently played the massive Cleethorpes Scooter Rally so expect a great mix of The Who , The Jam , The Animals , Small Faces , Yardbirds , etc and the Lambrettas 'poison ivy'. Plus there's the Northern and Motown 'classics' room & 'Dekka's Roots Room'. Edited July 18, 2016 by andybellwood 1 Link to comment
Jasonsaxo 197 Posted July 17, 2016 (edited) Thanks Andy. Will be lots of fun with top tunes all round. Some pix of the band in action including ones from The Apollo Festival with special guests Chris Helme (The Sea Horses) and Alan Leach (Shed Seven) and The Mothership Festival. Also one with Alan May from Glory Boy radio station and his Vespa GS taken outside a secret location and some pix from inside this secret location! Pix courtesy of Yellow Mustang Photography. Dekka 829 Posted August 13, 2016 Extremely pleased to announce that Dorian Cox who founded the cult band The Long Blondes will be guesting as a DJ in the Roots/Flipside Room. Dorian formed the The Long Blondes in 2003 in Sheffield and was lead guitarist and song writer. At the age of 27 in 2007 he suffered a stroke and never played guitar again. In 2008 he had to break up the band. 2 Link to comment
Jasonsaxo 197 Posted August 13, 2016 Have not met Dorian but he comes highly recommended and am looking forward to hearing his sets. Plus chatting about The Long Blondes. 2 Link to comment
Andybellwood 1,803 Posted August 13, 2016 (edited) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Long_Blondes Again not the same old same old in Dekka's Roots Room . This is going to be quite an event . All we need now is for Jay to organise Andy Lewis tho expect he's fully occupied with his Paul Weller commitments so guess Andy will be for a future one . As for this one , Door Tax: Pre-Reserved £7.00 / OTD £10 For pre-reserved tickets call or text Nigel 07957 465223 / Dekka 07597 198191 / Steve Ruane 07753 602488 / Jay Cee (Jason Chinnian) 07884 367177 Edited August 13, 2016 by andybellwood 2 Link to comment
Jasonsaxo 197 Posted August 13, 2016 (edited) I have been in contact with Andy. He has been abroad recording with The Song Book Collective in Germany. And, yes, he is busy but is looking at dates when he can come up and deejay or even play in the near future. Fingers crossed Andy Bellwood. Edited August 13, 2016 by jasonsaxo 1 Link to comment
Dekka 829 Posted August 13, 2016 This is building into something quite exceptional and as Andy has intimated, you can just throw away the rule book on this one. DJ line up is a work in progress at the moment, but as always, the Roots room will deliver something quite unique 2 Link to comment
Jasonsaxo 197 Posted August 13, 2016 Definitely Dekka, the dj's keeping the punters on their toes and vice versa. Most excellent! 2 Link to comment

Guest Steve Ruane Posted August 29, 2016 So Mr Dekka came to see The 5:15's and thought he had been hit by a wall of sound. We were just warming up! We will give Charity Soul the works! See y'all real soon Link to comment
Jasonsaxo 197 Posted August 29, 2016 It was great to see Dekka tucking into the hog roast pulled pork as an aperitif before the onslaught of The 5.15's. It will be rockin' hey Mr R? 2 Link to comment

Jasonsaxo 197 Posted August 30, 2016 Yes, it was good to catch up with Alan recently at a secret photo shoot for The 5.15's. He kindly brought his GS so we could get some pix taken with it. He is pictured above with it and us. His radio show is brilliant and always showcasing new bands from all over the world. A proper educational experience. 2 Link to comment
