Great music on the weeks that are run by Ken, Paul etc (every fortnight). I have only been on the Ken Rigby/Paul James weeks which are every fortnight. Hopefully someone will review the other weeks in between. Response from the promoter: That's not to say the other weeks aren't brilliant, some great guest djs lined up by Regular Stu M. Plus regular djs mixing it up from their personal collections. 1 Link to review
Steve Plumb 395 September 4, 2018 5 of 5 members say helpful 5 / 5 members Share this review Spent a couple of hours down there on Friday night and very enjoyable it was too. Went to support my old mentor (old as in 'old' and mentor as in 'mentor' both words not used lightly LOL) Ken Rigby on his fortnightly 9-10pm set. Got there early to catch the last half hour of John Meredith's early spot and there were some very classy tunes indeed. Ken's set was excellent with a great mix of 60's and 70's Northern/Modern/Crossover, proper classy. Bob Taylor followed Ken, guesting in place of Steve Curry and played another superior set, mixing up the rare and under-played and was his usual excellent self. Sadly I was feeling a touch under-the-weather so had to leave early and missed the final spot from Paul James. I've seen that fellas collection, so I bet it was great too and kept to the OVO script? The guys do it every fortnight, so definitely worth a visit. Cheers Steve 1 Link to review
