About The Event

Bloody hell Jerry, you don’t mix the counties”– Brian Potter (Phoenix Nights)

It’s 2024 and after an amazing first year we’re kicking off on March 2nd with two outstanding guests, Arron Adams and Dave Ripollés… it’s a War of the Roses!

Arron is an old friend of the Beat Boutique and one of our favourite guys. Known to everyone across the soul community, ‘Azza’ was integral to the Leeds soul scene as one of the main forces behind the legendary ‘That Driving Beat’ night.

Also representing the White Rose (although very much now an adopted Mancunian) will be none other than David Ripollés. Co-founder of Ultimate Choice, Dave has brought the heat to nights and weekenders across the continent and has never failed to blow people away with his exceptional spins.

Looking forward to Saturday and being back in the basement of the amazing Refuge in Manchester!

A genuinely wonderful night.

About 80 folk in from far and wide (Sheffield, London, Nottingham) to hear a cross section of underplayed, over looked, rare, classic, soul, disco, crossover and modern.

A huge thanks to all that came along, including the DJs, supporting our project and building a new culture for soul fans in the centre of Manchester.
