can anybody tell me when did, jr walker first play the wigan casino all nighter many thanks, derm.

I'm sure he played there before but I'm sure I saw him circa september 77

Yes - that would be about right - I saw him there around that time too and was lucky enough to blow his sax !! (now now !!)

can't remember the date but will ask my cousin if i see her in near future..................

was day of her wedding and i already had tickets for Wigan, ( rush job if you get my drift ;-) )

and guess where i went!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure it must have been early 76. I saw him at a Mecca Alldayer the week before as well.

    Snap. Me too. I was at the Mecca for the Sunday show - he was excellent. Also saw the Casino performance too. I was really into ‘Way Back Home’ in those days. ‘I Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere’ is still one of my favourite Motown tracks - spun on the main floor at the Casino in 1974.

    I saw him at this one, i remember he introduced his son Junior Walker Junior on drums!!!

    If the question is. Did Jnr Walker play at Wigan? Then the answer is yes,

    I was there but cannot remember which year but do remember how disappointed everyone was that he did not play I ain't going nowhere
