Didn't say anything - I only have the photo I posted to go on and I thought she looked white. Certainly sounds white anyway.

Ace records have just put out a mighty fine comp of Sugarpie's work and she had hits in the US and singles released in the UK and Europe so she ain't obscure.

I like 'Music' and I really like the flip "No Sunshine". This is a much worse tune and played a little later, Ken.

As a matter of fact I've just googled her as I haven't for a while and it seems her other record isn't as obscure as I initially thought. In fact it's appeared on some Rock 'n Roll compilations

There's another version of this (maybe the first?) from 1969 on a major label. This other version is a group and someone has already suggested the first word in the groups name when they had a guess.
