Thought this was rare but there's been 5 copies on ebay in the last couple of months and all from different sellers. Coincidence or is this just a £50er going for big money?

I think the Issue/Stock copies are harder to find than the white demo, seems to be indemand rather than a true rarity but time will tell.

The other Poets - I've Got Two Hearts is pretty tuff, Jimmy Helms white demo really tuff. I'm on my 4th coffee as my lad has a big match this afternoon so getting ready to stand outside in a muddy field lol

this was always sort of around (not ultra-common but came up once in a while) then people on here started hyping it up about a year ago like it was some mega rarity

Interesting though just how many "Northern Soul Legends" passed through the ranks of The Hollywod Flames

The Hollywood Falmes started out way back in 1949 !!!!! as The Flames and recorded throughout the fifties.

Lots of member changes happened throughout the fifties. Tony Middleton was a member for a short while and recorded on oly one song, but by 1957 the line up was David Ford, Bobby Byrd, Curlee Dinkins, and Earl Nelson.

Bobby went solo as Bobby Day ( Class records ), using The Flames as back up - although called The Satelites. The Flames also recorded as Earl Nelson & the Pelicans for Class.

Bobby Day and Eal Nelson were the first Bob & Earl, Bobby Day was later replaced as Bob of course by Bob Relf.

By the early sixties Bob and Earl had both left the group and the line up consisted of a tenor (David Ford) and three baritones: Curtis Williams, Ray Brewster and one Donald Height, who had replaced Eddie Williams.

Donald Height and Curtis Williams left before the group signed to Juggy Murrays Sue label (Symbol).

By now the group were - David Ford (tenor), John Berry (tenor), George Watson (second tenor), and Joe Thompson (baritone/bass).

The group split in 1967, David Ford beng the only original member
