November 2, 200915 yr Hi Harry I believe that many of the Arctics were kept on catalogue over a number of years. Possibly, Pressed to supply demand from Original Plates or Source. The difficulty sometimes is the correct timeline / order of issue. These two from the 60's. This one has the same Layout as the White DEMO that I have recently seen, title over two lines. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The STYRENE Copies were from the 70's as I recall & I have always considered them to be 70's Re-Issues from Original Source.

Although when you think about it "Your Number 1" as per the original, is wrong, and the 70's repress saying "You're Number 1" is a correction. Cheers Mick

November 3, 200915 yr A lot of these re-issues are legal, but are really a specialist product for the UK market (Northern Soul). They where not re-issued for the USA record buying public. For that reason there is no demos of the re-issues, because they did not need to promote them! When they where done in the 70's we just called them pressings along with the bootlegs!

To quote the MARVELLOWS-I`M SO CONFUSED if theses were pressed up by the jamie guyden corp, does that not make them a legit re-press? this is where i don`t understand this bootlegg thing, if records were pressed legally then there not a bootlegg are they? i allways thought bootleggs were illegal and had nothing to do with the original company, is that right?,-HARRY

They are 2nd issues not bootlegs. If you are a collector that concerns yourself with such things then there not original issues but they are legal and legitimate.
