They was done around the same time as the others you mention but not by the same person, would be around 1990?

I don't know how this person sells anything. Always good for a laugh after a tough day at work though...

I think its been done again, last few months seen quiet a few for sale on ebay starting at £6.00.

When they were done originally there was I think only Half a dozen with the date on them.

Like Darren says when they first appeared some went for a lot of money, one or two thinking they were real.

What makes it worse is that clueless fools quote this persons prices as gospel which can cause problems. I list stuff at a fifth or even a tenth of their prices sometimes.

The description as a 'second issue' makes it sound legit and if the ill-informed were in any doubt about it being a legit release they would probably think well it £150 it can't be a bootleg can it.

It like the supermarkets doing offers of 3 for £5 and having the same product somewhere else in the store at £1.60 each. Price is a surrogate indicator of quality / value and marketing people know this.

Some a priced ok but agree that the Margie and the Intentions I can't believe them prices what would he sell a rare a record for.

Discuss away Pete. I just think this website is not the only culprit in terms of high prices. John Manship writes a guide and then sometimes prices higher just weeks after it has come out. Craig Moerer BIN items on ebay that have been listed and listed and listed without selling. I was just saying its unfair to single out this one site though I can understand why it has raised some eyebrows (not for the first time either). I have no connection with the site or its owners but for me its "buyer know thy stuff".

If I thought the discussion was unfair, I'd say so and edit it, but when you're talking about the most expensive sellers on the internet, there's always going to be comments, good or bad.

The bottom line is that - IN MY OPINION - anyone asking £150 for the John & The Weirdest bootleg is a chancer waiting for a mug punter to come along (whether it's them, me, anglo, JM, anyone), and anyone who buys it for anything like that is a moron. I sold mine for £40 and I was embarassed at getting so much for it.

Looks like a VERY old "2nd issue" according to the date stamp on the label.......

No, I'm in favour of it.I was interested in what others had to say about whether it should be allowed. HOWEVER we are not discussing a record listed on Soul Source, it's on an external website. If it had have been listed on Soul Source I would have at least commented on it.
