J B Troy - Live On - Musicor

Hi Guys

Just the usual questions,

How much do you reckon a excellent issue copy of this stormer should go for.

I've been playing the 45 this week and had forgotten how bloody marvellous it is.

Any ideas ?

what did the one one J Manships auction go for ?

anyone remember?

There are only 3 (only one really decent) issue copys and 2 (one decent) demos of the JB Troy 45s on popsike.

Compare that to the 30 plus "Marie Knights" - "that's no way to treat a girl" on the same label and it must give an indication

that the JB Troy is a very illusive 45 ? Especially for a big label like Musicor. Is JB the rarest Soul 45 on the label ?

I reckon this 45 is a well overlooked and underplayed 45 in 2010 - rarer than the other biggies on musicor.

overdue a bit of serious turntable action ?

I would deffo drop it in a set if I was a DJ - how can you not want to dance to that !!!

I heard it had plays over the years, can anyone tell me when and where and who played it back in the day ?

oh - I am not selling a copy of this 45 before anyone asks

just very interested in this seemingly forgotten 45 and any history it has.

I love it

thanks

M

A matter of taste but it's gotta be the flip "I'm Really Thankful" for me.

:hatsoff2:

Ahhhh the deep side !

It is very nice with a very gospel / stax feel to it.

At the moment I think that this 45 has been a classic case of an overlooked and underplayed 45 due to it being far rarer than people have given it credit for.

I am under the impression after chatting to a few people that this is really quite a tough 45 to find.

Someone even mentioned that is probably one of the hardest Northern Soul 45s on Musicor to locate ?

I just wanted to hear the Soul Source opinions thumbsup.gif
