it'll be good to double-deck with sharon 'k' again, she's got good taste and unlike some dee-jays i've double-decked with she don't fart behind the decks while one's tryin' to queue up a tune!!!!

We had a damn good nite!

Music for me changed direction for the better when Roger Banks came on then followed By Dave Riverswho did a fantastic set playing a few underplayed oldies with rarer bits seemed to go down very well !

The place seemed to lose numbers early on for sum reason, obviously leaving the niter crowd who wer well up for it !!Had plenty of laffs with Brigitte & Mick,Dave &Donna and Stef & Dave

Thanks to Donna for opening her coffee shop and puttin a good end to a great nite! Sent us off home all happy

Welldone to Dave Raistrick for all his effort for organising...This is a new venue and could do with more support really. Well worth a try :hatsoff2:

Hi Mike,

Great to see you and Jan, Dave and Stef and everyone else who travelled to Skegness for this event.

As you say, the numbers were slightly down, but the important thing is that those who did attend thoroughly enjoyed the night and were still on the dancefloor at 6am when the last record was played.

We received some encouraging and positive comments about the new venue, the Grand Central which is perfect for a niter, and the night / morning was rounded off perfectly when everyone piled into the Tamla Coffee Bar at 6am for cappuccinos, laughter and banter before hitting the road (thanks to Coops for the pics on the Tamla Coffee Bar group on Facebook)

Once again, thanks to everyone who negotiated the Lincolnshire roads and made this event a strong foundation to build on - looking forward to more of the same in September!!!

despite a slightly 'light & fluffy' start to the event, after 01:00, when the nighter kicked in the music became more and more to my liking.

roger banks, dave rivers, sam, bully and dave raistrick plied us with rare, not quite so rare and unplayed soul of the highest order.

great to see others there who had travelled to hear such soulful delights.

can't wait for the september event with even more 'nighter dee-jays, the top-floor will be in use by then (and believe me, if you like the Stage One venue for rare and northern soul you is gonna LOVE the top-floor)

sound system in the back room was not very good at all so will be replaced by september and the windows WILL have black-outs on them, those being the only two negative points i heard all night, and despite these, my legs are still aching on tuesday morning because those dee-jays just wouldn't let up and play a crap tune.

Stef and myself really enjoyed the night , thought Roger Banks played a blinder!!!!! I played amix of big nighter sounds and unknowns which seemed to go down well. Thanks to all who danced and gave positive comments .

looking forward to the next one!!!!!!!

Fantastic Dave,

Next date is - Sept 24th as part of the Skegness Weekender !!!

See you out and about.

All the best

Dave
