Thought i'd ask because this 45 has had some exposure on here of late and no one posted up the link to spoil the bids so.......

I put in a cheeky bid for the copy of SACRED FOUR just over a week back ,even though the grading was poor.

Did anybody else see it and the poor grading of G ,and did it put you off bidding ?

Well im happy to say ,this arrived in the post this week and not ony looks great ,but plays great too

yeah watched it, thought it sounded fine for condition but imho the 45 is overprized at mo.....

there's far better records to play out than this. It's ok and nothing more IMO.

To be honest i was originally asking if anyone was put off by the grading by the seller on ebay?

It was on my mind because of a recent topic regarding sellers on here over grading things and i wanted to show the other end of the scale.

Imho this guy could or would have gotten a lot more if he had'nt listd it as G

His loss ,my gain ....plus i like it and that's all that matters to me bud

I know nobody said otherwise Nev, just giving my opinion. And you're right again, if you like it that's all that matters, your money after all. Don't expect all to like what I buy.

I was put off by the grading, I listened to the clip & agree it didn't sound too bad, but wasn't sure what he was on about as far as the pressing flaw also. Too many possible variables for me to want to jump in.

on comparing the two threads, opinion is certainly divided on the Sacred Four 45

that is great that it turned out to be in such good condition (i actually was the opening bidder on that record but dropped out early).

i recently bought an 'endeavors' 45 on ebay ("i know you don't want me" on stop) that the seller listed as "G-" (which i normally think of as being unlistenable) for a couple bucks... turned out to just have some writing on the label and plays VG++!
