I suppose there is always going to be conflicts but from Stephen C Kelly's viewpoint it does appear Earl Young thought a bit too much of himself and not as much of the group. Good read though (not a long one mind) and would like to read it from one of the others viewpoint, especially the Trammps as Stephen C Kelly not involved with them although it does appear he kept tabs on them.

Yes there's always two (or more) sides to a story and Stephen's book certainly adds to the overall history.

By the way, it would be good to have a section on soulsource where we can recommend and discuss books - music and other subjects.

It could be very useful.

The Night The Lights Went Out / I'm So Glad You Came Along is a great disco/soul double sider. I saw them at the Circus Tavern with Harold Melvin and the Three Degrees. They were bottom of the bill, but for me they stole the whole show.

The Moods "Rainmaker" on Wand is my fave by the Volcanoes / Trammps (when they were called the Moods).

And Scrub Board is one my instrumentals of all time!
