Goldsoul
Hi. The Flasher was not a tailor made. When Lloyd Michels first recorded the track, he had no idea about the Northern scene. I imported the initial quantity of his first single 'Life Is A Song Wirth Singing' and then met him, by which time The Flasher was at demo stage. Following consultation, the single was mixed and pressed as the 2nd release on Lloyd's Fusion label. Surprisingly it was even bigger than first thought. Following sales of 5,000 on Fusion, I licensed it to indie Route records in early 1976. It made the UK Top 30. 1 Link to comment Social source share
Agentsmith
correct kev, i bought the fusion release off pep about 3 weeks after it's release...ian levine was by this time already playing it, first time i heard it was at the wulfrun hall, wolverhampton, mr.levine at the helm....totally huge record..think it got to #27 in the charts or something like that...12" release as well if i remember. sadly, got hammered to death...as a result long since dormant.....perhaps a revival spin at the tower?.....just for old times sake?? Goldsoul
Hopefully not Rob. When it appeared on TOTP with Legs and Co? doing a routine to it, I list interest in it. Ha! Particularly after I spent two days rounding up dancers for the filming. Link to comment Social source share
