AL DOWNING - I'M JUST NOBODY on POLYDOR 14311

HI, I BOUGHT THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO, IT LOOKS ABOUT EX / EX+

BUT WHEN I PLAY IT, IT SKIPS I TINY BIT IN THE MIDDLE AND IT STARTS TO JUMP 3 OR 4 TIMES TOWARDS THE END,

I THOUGHT IT WAS PROBABLY MY NEEDLE AS IT PLAYED 0K ON A FRIENDS DECK,

ANYWAY I CAME ACROSS AN OTHER ONE ON EBAY AND I WON THAT ONE WHICH ARRIVED TODAY, IT LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE OTHER ONE EX / EX+

TROUBLE IS IT SKIPS AND JUMPS IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACES AS THE OTHER ONE,

I WONDER IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM, IS IT MAYBE A PRESSING FAULT,

I'M GOING TO GET A NEW NEEDLE AS SOON AS BUT I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF MY OTHER RECORD,

JOE.

HI KEV,

THANKS FOR REPLY,

THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING,

ALSO I THINK IT MIGHT DEPEND ON WHAT TYPE OF NEEDLE I USE,

SOME ARE MORE POINTED THAN OTHERS I'M TOLD,

JOE.

My copy plays perfect all the way through so there are good copies out there.

Regards,

Dave

ditto here dave, but undoubtably never flip it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for replies,

i'm told the vinyl issue plays ok,

it's the styrene isue that has the skips in it,

well i can confirm that, i'll have to look for a vinyl one.

German Polydor issue plays great. Might be an alternative to an US one?

i've just bought a vinyl one from germany so i'm hoping that plays ok,
