I guess this must be the most played Northern track that ever came from a movie sound track.

Hey there de-to

The movies that you are quoting (apart from OUT OF SIGHT) are contemporary films set in an earlier time period and are using previously released music to add authenticity to the film. There are literally hundreds of such movies out there. I thought this thread was about Original music used on sound tracks.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned "My Little Red Book" from "What's New Pussycat.......................

Lots of vaguely related stuff being posted, (that doesn't apply to Gene's post above btw..) but I think this is more what the topic starter was aiming for:

Gil Bernal - It Sure Is Groovy - from the soundtrack to In The Heat Of The Night.

Pretty sure I heard this played at Keele - probably on the back of the inferior Brothers Cain version that was covered up as Moses and Joshua, I think.

I recall reading somewhere some time ago that I'm On My Way - Dean Parrish was to be used in a New York City based film in the 60's.

Tried to find it since but never been able to find anything.

Was it just a dream - will I wake up in the Shower ??

the film dirty dancing, featuring solomon burke, the contours, otis redding...

Still wouldn't persuade me to watch it :D

Lets do it again staple singers
