What is the record box of choice for discerning record collectors and DJ's?

 

I tried to buy a case recently and was a bit disappointed with what was available in either shops or via the internet.

 

Any recommendations?

 

PS I'm sure this isn't the ideal forum but it did seem the most appropriate.

I've been using a Blakka one as my DJ box for several years now, which means it's been out of the house about fifty times a year, all over the country, every year.  I've never had a record damaged. The box is still as good as new, except for the plastic tube which forms the handle which has split slightly.

 

I'd recommend them to anyone.

I've had a swanflight box for a few years - it got crushed in the back of my van (to the point where I had to pull the side of the box straight) yet not a single 45 was damaged.

I think someone should pin some of this thread. This question seems to come up every other week.

Swan flight will also make a box to the size you want if they don't already do it.
