:g: A few years ago I came across a copy of Sam Cooke's you send me on Black / Silver London on a 78 rpm. about 10 inch in size and a heavy duty Shellat. It got me thinking ! is there any big pre 1960s soul records on 78 rpm, and is the a market out there. I don't have the record now as it had a crack in it.

The first Motown release in the UK is on a 78.  Unfortunately I've forgotten what it is.  Didn't come out on a 45 though.  Think Barrett Strong "Money" might also be on a 78 as well as a 45.

Yes, it was released on a 78. but only on ANNA, not on Tamla.

I've seen "Baby Please Don"t Go" by Jo Ann Henderson on a Phono Graph 78 but I think that's more R & B or Popcorn than Soul.

Big Maybelle "i've got a feelin" came on 78.
