Was told by a mate that he once found a record by The Fantastic Johnny C entitled The Whip on Phil-la of soul.

Now then I have searched high and low on t'internet, found the label listing on Soulful Kinda Music etc. etc. But nothing. There is a 45 called The Whip by Pal and the Prophets on the label, but it's not the same tune. So, is it a Jackanory job or does anyone know if it actually exists?

I once made up a record to test a smart arse who always 'knew' every oddball R&B tune going....think I called it Big Betty & The G-Spots 'I only weep when I come'

Yup, he knew it, and had actually sold a copy a few years previous.

Some smartarse will probably throw a scan up now to make me look a twat!

He said it was the backing track to the Stanley Evans test press. I have played the Pal and the Prophets, and it ain't nothing like that record.
