October 8, 20159 yr There's an Italian issue on Evil Bay at the moment at £122......IT WILL GO A LOT HIGHER!!
October 8, 20159 yr Interesting to note that Gamble-Huff get Producer credit on the USA & Italian Gamble release ... but Billy Jackson on the Sassy release .. Billy told me he fell out with them over the Gamble release because of that, and the 45 got dropped very quickly as a result, which probably accounts for its relative rarityAndyÂ
October 8, 20159 yr Or rather rarer (is it still the case since the internet frontier breaking down ???) since the Gamble has those dreadful strings added on the wonderful 'love (your pain goes deeper)' side while the Sassy NOT !Â
October 8, 20159 yr The Italian copy should rarer (counting those around) than the US one. There are even West Coast styrene (at leasts promos) of it out there ! So at least two pressing plants release in the US. The US Gamble should be more prized. Especially a minty one since the Italian release won't fit in a proper US Gamble 45 collection somehow.  Even though and still the promo Sassy with 'love' on flip is the one to have for all the best reasons IMHO.
October 9, 20159 yr Author Frank Beverly, Gamble, Huff, Renzetti & Bobby Martin (not forgetting Billy Jackson) - Â boy!! doesn't get much better the Philadelphia mob Â
October 9, 20159 yr Buy the Saint Martin compilation Lp,  cheaper than the 45 AND just as original ! Edited October 11, 20159 yr by 123-motown
October 11, 20159 yr Any change of seeing a scan / photo of this LP?I guess it's not the same tracks as on the Gamble Records All Stars LP?
Only noticed this the other day, incorrect title on the Italian, which is the rarer ?
