There are a few sales on Popsike, two of them describe the 45 as a "reissue for the Beach Music" crowd.

Yes,the flip is Greyhound Moon River,

I thought that it was boot,

some copies have sold for a lot of money and it made me wonder

I checked that many DELTA releases are unofficial but this one is marked as promo only,

I don't know,I'm confused,

45 Cat rates DELTA in general, as a reissue company,

Hey Girl, Delta release dated back to 1975 ?

Please don't be confused as someone on here will hopefully know

The problem with vinyl re-issues is that they have been  bootlegged and re-issued legitimately as well over the decades and sadly there are so many, that people ending up not knowing, it's been going on for years and is so much more happening now with the technology more available

However, people are often scared to tell the truth if they do know (I don't know why)

As i remember i dont think it was released in the US..Only a uk release on pye...John Manship as one up for auction on his website

John Manship says that the Delta copy is bootleg,

he probably knows better,

another boot in my collection

Thought so its a bit over rated its only a mid tempo 70's dancer..but it never sold much when it was released so hence the price ...think i might even have a Pye copy somewhere ..will dig it out ans sell it

My copy was part of a job lot from US,

it wasn't expensive,

the song is featured in the last Northern Soul Girl video,

the tune was familiar,

I also like it a lot

Funny thing is that the NSGL video was filmed at the exact same place where this photo was taken

It would be nice to know if they are US bootlegs or been done ere in Europe (as happens a lot)

Love jimmy james saw him sing hey girl in nottingham way back when it was a new release 1975 /76 oh boy , can't remember where the palais or hucknall & linby miners wellfare ?

lucky to see them live at the Winterton Rangers Club (Village Near Scunthorpe' Back in the 70's and they were Fabulous Live.

Bonus was that 'Soul Sam" was guest DJ that night. ' Memmories'  😃

Saw them once in the late 70's ..once at Warsop in Notts...and at Chapel St Leonards with Ben E King....what a night that was

Saw him too at Newark about ten years ago , think he was on at skegness weekender couple of years ago , so still doing the rounds . You don.t stand a chance album as been mentioned, track 4 a nice tune , 'supicious love' & his version of' chains of love' is a stormer too,for lovers of mid seventys soul music.

Saw him at Warners about 4 years ago. He was brilliant!

His output during the 60s was first rate mainly all the stuff that came out on Piccadily.

Also he does the best version of Ain't no big thing and there are some great versions of that song.

nice song, and the LP can be bought in mint condition for next to nothing

I wonder what happened, there's loads of cheap mint LP's (deleted copies), so record label must of over estimated popularity  at the time
